Good hardworking woman
I am willing to learn and good listener. I am able to work as team or a group. Hard worker as a woman able to work with my tools and identify them. I have been working at ARCELORMITTAL and I was able to work with man since I was the only woman working as a fitter in my team.

T involves if not all but most of the trade related activities.
I would like to say, the company has really offered me the greatest opportunities to get involved into in the field of my trade. Today I'm a qualified Millwright with the most necessary skills and knowledge that a good artisan can have. I've been exposed to almost all the categories of mechanical and electrical maintenance wich includes but not limited to, installing pumps, electrical motors, gearboxes, mandrils, blowers, do faultfinding on electrical operations, upgrade electrical operating systems, and maintaining most of electrical equipment both DC and AC supplied.

Learning curve
My day is about 80% busy in the plant investigating, testing equipments, doing task observations to artisans and 20% in the office doing paper work. I have a very good relationship wit mu colleagues we help each other. I have learnt Project management skills and general engineering principles. I enjoy root cause analysis because I engage a lot with people during investigation.

Excellent in fault finding
Normally in the morning we start with the inspection then after the inspection we have the meeting whereby everyone gives the feedback on what he/she have discovered in the plant and also job for a day like job cards of normal maintenance.

Best company ever
Its a good company with best training centre and enough stipends for their apprentice. Safety its the first priority. Its the best steel company in SA.

It a big company ArcelorMittal is the world known company which produce steel and it have alot of exposure and I learn to work under pressure and attend break down and we were maintaining the plant

Greener pastures
Well currently feel like I'm not growing in terms promotion and career wise maybe change will be good for me, just to face new challenges, opportunities and improve on career(advance my studies). I have a great working relationship with my colleagues and we do our maintenance around a couple of machinery just to mention (shotblast ,Harding furnace, normalizing furnace,shot & paint etc) so that our production crew can produce quality plates

Excellent learning curve
Each and every new day is a challenge due to different tasks that arise and new learning curves. I am relaible, trustworthy , go-getter, always show initiative,i am a good team player, good communicator. Suppervising team members, working with different types of people with different ideas. It is enjoyable when the company is doing well and meeting targets because at the end there are motivations. Most challenging , short dead lines that gives too much pressure.

Self growth
I currently am the Senior Planner at the Sinter Making Plant at ArcelorMittal Newcastle. I am responsible for the maintenance planning department with 2 planners l, 2 clerks and a storeman for our substore. I am highly respected as i give my 110% on a daily basis. I have the upmost respect for all i work with and willing to go the extra mile for any task or request. I compile managment dayfigure reports as well as utilize SAP for plant delays and follow the RCA procress to imrove KPIs as well as stoppage ratios. Maintenance manuals reconditioning targets are set and must be adhered to by my team. A good follow up system is always needed and spares and reconditioning are well taken carw of. I also hold a wiremans license and always willing to prosper in my job. Thank You.
