Exellent experience

Attitude towards the career, adaptability and ability to fit in Her attidude is very positive and she is wiiling to assist in all aspects that one needs help. She is earge to learn amd always willing to assist, she can handle herself verywell . she don’t mind to work with different gender in a team , she can organise people , handle conflict and has respect for others. She was involved in a garden project which is a bit out of her field, she had managed and dish work out to ten young men, acting as facilitator and manged them. She can adapt and manage to fit in the team.

Pros: Salome was exposed to all the aspects of vegetable production in a community project , from soil sampling, soil preparation, demarcations of plots, fertiliser application , irrigation installation , seedling production, transplanting and direct sowing of spinach, carrots, beetroots and cabbage, maintenance of the crop, chemical control of pest and diseases.
Cons: She got involved in open field production of vegetable in a community project in winter veldt, Hydroponics production of tomatoes in the same projects. She commended on the different activities as the project progressed from tunnel production: preparation of bag, transplanting of seedling, installation of irrigation system mixing of fertilizer.

Center of excellence

So far, I have managed to achieve objectives and goals that I have drafted after Undergraduate studies. After the employment of National Research Foundation and Agricultural research council , I have developed love in traveling and working in the field researching with the farmers.I felt inlove with small scale farmers during farmers day at Mpumalanga when were demonstrating how farming works and encourage them to use chemicals and fertilizers to enhance their plant production. The challenges, that I have encountered is when, I was having a deadline which caused me to have sleepless night for several days. Moreover, I love soil classification and survey so that I can recommend for site specific management and land use planning for some specific fields. I have gained 12 months experience 01/04/2016-31/03/2017 with National research foundation where I was placed at University of Venda. At Agricultural research council I have gained 20 months experience from 01/04/2017-till to date

Pros: Marvelous opportunity
Cons: 8 hours a day

My work experience

A typical work day involves planning and doing quality management duties according to schedule. Ensuring that co-workers abide to schedule. Ensuring that documents are issued and revised. Training on quality management. I interact with colleagues on a day to day basis regarding their specific needs per laboratory..eg. Root Cause Analysis, Customer communications, document review and issue..etc I have learnt how to work with different types and characters of people. I enjoy training of colleagues on QMS and doing Root Cause Analysis because that is the only time I have to hear the views of colleagues towards quality and ideas to help solve the problem at hand. Challenges includes when people do not understand your training or do not want to comply to the QMS requirements.

Pros: Great opportunity for studying
Cons: No growth in current position

Experience of note

-We have 11 different institutes that report and submit everything to Central office for finalizing thus we have to invoice and process payments for 11 different campuses. -I have gained a lot of exposure and experience as to how the Creditors Department works with always meeting my deadlines and providing precise yet done with diligence work. -We work as a unit and work has always been delivered and I got to work with our CFO that was one of my highlights as to when I was still an intern. -We closed off submission for any payments every month in the 20th so that we have sufficient time till month end.

Pros: - I got offered a contract as an impression of my work.
Cons: Long hours but not enough time for the amount of work because of understaffed

Good Learning environment

Excellent environment for gaining work experience. Challenging work activities. The area/location is very serene and away from the city bustle. There was a lot to learn as have worked in all the divisions within the company. Worked my way up but very slowly. No growth opportunity and the are no perks even for great work done. Disappointing when it comes to growth.

Pros: Experience gained and travelling around the country
Cons: No growth and good incentives

Great opportunity to learn basis of HR

I love working for my Organisation, there's a new thing to learn daily even though some part of the work is routine. if I could I would stay till retirement, however the salary progression is very slow and also there's limited opportunity for promotion or Senior level positions.

Pros: Allowed to upskill yourself always
Cons: No recognition for doing going extra mile
