Analytics advisory analyst
There is no work life balance. Often asked to log in either after hours, weekends or when booked off sick or on annual leave. Pressurized environment. I am the only employee supporting the analytics team in south Africa. I need to help all other team members offshore. I have been able to learn analytics and SAS coding. However this was on the job training. No Formal training or certifications. I think what is most challenging about my job is that I need to learn as I go along, and there is no set process to anything.

We processed invoices,did recons and helped with queried regarding short payments.
I worked part of accounts payable team in Accenture helping a client called Edcon to handle their suppliers accounts.We worked as a single team of 30 to 40 people solving queries logged by the supplier regarding outstanding invoices, short payments and overpayments. We processed invoices for them and make certain all payments are up to date which could also include doing some recons as well on the suppliers accounts, there different sectors in accounts but we all aim at achieving one goal which is making sure that suppliers accounts are up to date.
Pros: Developed more skills in team work.
Cons: There can be too many queries causing us to work overtime

Excellent
Working 8 hours a day we had a healthy relationship,I’ve learned that communication is key to success,I enjoyed assisting customers and solving their problems and one the most challenging aspect was to deal with an angry customer which I always mange to put a smile on their faces

New Challenges at every project.
The company provides opportunity for growth. Senior management are generally friendly and easily accessible. Colleagues are great with a very open and friendly culture. HR policies and employee well being is still an issue. No company contribution for medical or pension

Edcon was an exceptional organisation to work for. What I love best is the forward-thinking innovative leadership style that has helped shape so mum of the leader I am today. A typical day includes strat sessions wherein Hr contribute and hone in on operational efficiencies jointly working on solutions. Improvements or amendments are taken back to my Hr team where we divide and conquer. Succession planning, coaching and leadership development are my strong points, seeing employees evolve grow and become the best version of themselves is definitely the most rewarding part of my job. An area that I would possible focus more on and I guess if Edcon were in a better financial position they would, would be significant investment in Women in leadership programmes as well as diversity and gender bias issues in the work place.

An Good Learning Experience
Accenture who is Top Employer of the year provided and excellent learning environment however under pays employees, I have an excellent relationship with both staff as well as my reporting manager. what is challenging is there is a stump in growth as well favouritism when it comes to promoting a candidate
