My duties in my current job includes creating purchase requisition, orders, doing good receipt. Handling petty cash. Contracts management, reporting, budgeting, cost center management, assets verification. All this done using the SAP system

Attend SHE and Risk assessment meetings; Leading Research Exercises/ Projects Chairing staff meetings participating in Capital Projects progress meeting, review and Commenting on 3rd EIA and mining applications, Assist with the compilation of annual sustainability reports Conduct 2nd line audits for the implementation of ISO standards and best practices.

I was doing Diesel electrical fitter

I was doing a learnership at Transnet Fright Rail doing diesel electrical fitter for a year.50%was theory and also 50% was a practical.I was working 8 hours working with a team It was challenging becouse it my first time to work at the workshop but i did enjoy it because i learn a lot with that field like using diffend tools ,handling tool and also electrical tool

Delegation experience

Performs various administration duties of moderate complexity requiring general knowledge of train services and other operational issues. Position challenges Train service disruptions. introduction of new technology. Life threatening conditions created by criminal elements. Failure of communication apparatus and use of alternative. Compliance to safety legislation and requirements.

my experience is best on the post of driver & office work as i have experience in admin clerk ,trace position,team leader in consultants staff & also marketing in bound. so i will be very happy to get the opportunity and work together with the team as a team player.

Blaming culture within the divisions, Nepotism on promotions Lot of uneducated leaders in the higher positions, learned employees not taken into cognisance

Great Exposure and development

Transnet is company that motivates its employees by continuously giving recognition and rewarding excellency and takes pride when the customers are happy. So I ensure to maintain communication with my internal customers and suppliers on my work to ensure my job output always meet with my customer's expectation. Building relationships internally can be challenging since i get to interact with people with different backgrounds but with time then becomes enjoyable as one gets to master to exercise emotion intelligence.

Pros: enough time for break periods, and good rewards
Cons: hard to have contact meeting with senior management
