I have more than 11 years of experience in Sasol, from staring as a secretary, to a planning assistant, IMS Clerk and am currently an administrator in the SHE Garr Team. I had the opportunity of developing and leading the document governance department for SCO and part of my roles was to manage the document system, to implement protocol regarding documents, supply a data base and status compliance report. I have the ability to connect to people and have great communication skills. I have the ability to multi-task

Pros: I’ve always considered myself to having very strong work ethics and been very detailed orientated. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to meet deadlines.
Cons: Sometimes I can be a bit too honest when I provide feedback to coworkers. My personality is naturally very straightforward and to the point, and most of my colleagues really value that, but I have learned that there are times on the job when more diplomacy is required.

Career growth and learning a lot about myself at Sasol

I am and admin expeditor. I basically work hand in had with the mechanical maintance technicians to ensure that the products/equipments need to be delivered in time as our duty is to make sure the plant is serviced. My duties is also to work out the cost commitments making sure each service provider has invoices and is paid off. My mantanice team is great we are basically a family and we always make sure to Help and build one another professionally and because it was my 1st time moving out of Durban, I met I lot of people from different parts of South Africa and I have learnt so much from them. This job has taught me that I really can work well under pressure especially when it comes down to the shut down which was also a huge challenge for me, making sure that all the products are delivered ASAP and making alternative plans really pushed me to an ability I didn’t even know I had. Overall working at Sasol has been an amazing experience and has made me challenge and want to push myself even more.

Good areas of competencies acquired at sasol

I have developed the following skill set throughout my experience at Sasol in the past 3 years:  Cost estimation, economic evaluation of studies and projects  Asset management and volume protection a  Research and development (Impact study and evaluation)  Production and maintenance planning  Project execution and commissioning support  Process safety review  Process simulation, modelling and equipment sizing  Plant monitoring assessment, data analysis & optimisation The job also equipped me to be competent in my use of computers, particularly in the use of MS Windows packages, AFT Fathom Software, Aspen Software Package, Matlab and Python Software. Over and above the technical competencies I have acquired, the experience has also taught me the importance of ascertaining customer’s needs and providing clear and accurate information in response to those needs, and to work effectively in a team.

Willing to learn more about your Company,

For the past 10 years I have been working for Sasol LTD, and gained a lot of experience through a lot of different jobs that was given to me to do on a daily base. I enjoy working with people as I come from the SAPS and Fire Department.

Pros: My fiance is living in PTA and i would like to make a new change in my life.
Cons: I have 2 children so working hours is important to me, for picking them up from school and dropping them.
