Tough Learning Curve
Not really a good environment for a first job, but skills offered are great. Not an easy workplace to commute to, it’s best to have your own car. Great pay, but steep internal taxes.
Pros: Generally good pay
Cons: Stressful environment, office culture can use some sprucing up, commuting is very difficult, steep intercompany taxes.

Great company to work for
Great company to work for. Good for career advancement. Great opportunities. Challengebis that the area is rediculously expensive in terms of both renting and buying of property. Limited resources like good schools for children and other opportunities around the area. Company itself is good just the area it’s situated.
Pros: Career growth, cares for its prople
Cons: Far from home, company based in a very expensive property small town

Strategic and innovative thinker
My lifelong interest in mining and the natural world really commenced in 2002 during my final year of secondary school at Bechet High School where I had a great teacher of Science. Subsequent undergraduate and postgraduate studies in geology were undertaken at the University of Free State. I undertook degrees in Geology during 2003 and completed my Master’s Degree in Mineral Resource Management in 2015. I have a solid familiarity with multiple stages in business strategy and commodities such as coal, gold, manganese and mineral exploration. My career grew from operations to corporate as an analyst after obtaining my postgraduate Master’s degree in Mineral Resource Management. My current role allows me to gain experience and exposure to the business value chain and financial acumen in the organization which is in line with my 10 year career plan.Overall winner of the 2017 Standardbank Rising Star awards for the Mining & Minerals category in South Africa.
Pros: Career growth
Cons: No work life balance
