GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN THE SAPS, A GREAT PLACE TO GAIN EXPERIENCE

IT WAS A GREAT EXPREINCE WORKING AT SAPS , I ROTATED TO ALL DEPARTMENT TO GAIN EXPURE IN MY QUALIFICATION, AND THE CHALLENGING PART WAS WHEN I WENT TO SERVICE TERMINATION WHERE THE WAS A SHORATGE OF INTERNET BUT IN MY DEPARTURE THE PROCESS OF APPLAYING AN INTERNET TO UPLOAD DOCUMENTS TO NATIONAL OFFICE, BUT ALL IN ALL I ENJOYED THE ENVIRONMENT

I have previously acted as a VIP protector (SAPS) and have conducted patrols, used security and surveillance equipment and diffused difficult and potentially dangerous situations. I can be relied upon to deal professionally with any emergency situations that may arise and to keep public safety in mind at all times. capturing leave applications in saps 26 registering leave applications on the saps 26 administer absenteeism registers filling of saps documentations administer and register grivances capturing of grivances on the systems administer section 21 Report(Employment equity) registers. administer & monitor misconducts/ disciplinary procedures. administer training programmes of incumbents liason with the department head for training interventions. conducting meetings for the station. administers all the saps registers. administer personal files of employees. monitor labour turnovers applications of overtime. Ensuring the implimentation of the departmental procedures are abide by all employees. organising training needs for the employees. administer work studies of incumbents. .

I have excellent telephone skills and etiquette,Customer focused attitude ,Good clear communication skills,excellent listening skills Display helpful and friendly attitude, good organising and planning skills Ability to operate under pressure ,Ability to work in a team and under pressure, Attention to detail , Demonstrates passion for providing service excellence and meeting targets.

Pros: My day starts about half an hour before normal on duty time so that I am well organized for the day ahead. In this order, I can prioritize the importance of the day and brief my peers on what is expected from them. I have learnt that to succeed in ones daily task team work and good relations are essential, I enjoyed the fast paste of my Job descriptions, always dealing with enquiries, constantly havng to train people so that they can understand what the importance is of this section when coming to their well being and seeing the satisfaction I get after thorough consultation with them. I would say my challenge is having to spoon feed management in order to reach my goal and target dates and definetly non compliance to instructions been given.
Cons: Non compliance to instruction that hampers to one's target and due dates

Good working environment

I have good working relations with my fellow colleagues and have learnt how dilegently you need to be within this organization. Discipline, dedication and hard work is one of the corner stone and most importanat quality needed to be effective in this organization. I enjoy being productive at all times and have a passion for learning new work. Short noticed deadlines are the most challenging aspect of the job but with careful observations i have learned on how to prioritize my work to be more efficient and effective.

Learning while working

I am doing day to day maintenance as planned and also attending break downs. First thing in the morning I respond to email request be fore I leave the office. I am friendly to all my co-workers, as I sometimes assist in the workshop with ideas how to tackle some faults and if they run short of members. What I have learnt is that every person is different and so is the thinking. To my own experience electronics is changing everyday. If you do not keep up with the changes is easy to get lost. I enjoy repairing, fault finding, modifying where possible. Electronic projects in general.

Pros: Promotion is limited as the unit is a scare skill unit
Cons: I am working normal office hours, but if the need be I will to get the job done

It has been a life experience job

Mornings are the most hectic and difficult time at work that at times one runs like a headless chicken! One has to balance the time for court while attending to victims and witnesses as well as closing loopholes where statements were poorly taken. One eases up however in the afternoon but still has to balance between investigation on the field and administrative duties in office for! The key is balancing! Fotunately i have amazing colleagues who believe in the values of team work! There is always that one person who will give support and help do the work ! 3with my years6 years of investigation experience i have learned to be independent in the work place and be productive! I know what's expected of me without being guided and yield the best results ! The independence bestowed to the dedicated investigator is very critical in boosting the confidence and the moral of the investigator as it opens channels to explore. It broaden one's way of thinking, creates critical thinkers which i am very grateful of!

Pros: its a challenging job which teaches about responsibilities
Cons: the prospects of growth are very slow

Great experience and challenges every day

My work is challenging as any decision that i make soon or late i have to give a clear justifications of it and been able to work on my own without any supervision from the management or superior, that gives me a confident and taught me a self decipline and do my duties as required

Pros: To develop me for future challenges
Cons: Hours are reasonable
