Salary not pleasing as per responsibilities

Work life not balancing with personal life especially with working sundays. Also company not offering any induction or training to it's enployees, you swim on your own to get to know the systems and staff not friendly at all to assist.

Pros: Promotion opportunities are there if you are self motivated
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent Learning Curve

Did the job of 5 people in the digital marketing and sales department for 8 months due to the fact that the roles were not filled. Ran projects on my own which I love doing (marketing, Communications, media,sponsorship and events) I'm used to working long hours early morning to early morning due to sponsored events. Most challenging aspect is taking time off. I have a good relationship with our clients and suppliers. I work well with my colleagues. I have learnt that there is nothing wrong in asking for assistance when you are stuck.

Pros: Working on own projects and a lot of them
Cons: Being under-payed

Perfect gaining great service knwledge

Timorously answer all incoming telephone calls. Attend to queries and needs of callers as required within procedures Address problems on a case by case basis Respond and attend to queries and problems in line with set guidelines Escalate unresolved queries timorously

Good experience overal

I have 5 years working experience in telecommunication and strong background of credit vetting as consumer to see and corporate account and have a strong customer service background as well

Growth opportunity

I may showcase my more than 5 Years B-BBBEE experience. I can only add value and demonstrate that B-BBEE is a business enablement Strategy and not a Compliance tickbox exercise. I have steered MTN Group from a level 6 to a level 2 on the old framework. MTN Group currently is a level 4 on the new Amended ICT Sector Code. I enjoy my work daily and I’m very particular and work with a spirit of excellence. Always meeting deadlines and planning at least two months ahead. I have good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. My biggest challenge at MTN Group is getting buy in from executives. Getting their buy in is what I appreciate mostly. I enjoy adding value and assist other business units in achieving their objectives. Overall I want to assist MTN Group in being the best empowered organization in the ICT Sector.

Great learning opportunity and to upskill your self

It is a great learning curve, amidst with meeting different types of personalities There is a great opportunity to earn on incentives. And to be empowered, to push yourself to your limit Learn to empathise with customers first hand Be able to uplift each other as a team. However there is no place for growth. Long working hours.

Stressful and less transparency and no integrity and no rationality.

No superior is willing to take responsibilities they often shirking them. And abuse authority and don't hand job related queries very well but take things subjectively from their subordinates. Too much bias decisions and actions towards those who are below them. Too much work load but way too less a pay( compensation) for it We go an extra mile yet the are no rewards for it. Our well being is not on their list of priorities. Superiors ( managers etc) get awefull amounts of bonuses whilst the people below don't even get a fragment of what they getting . The only thing benneficial was the stuff sim that we got to use to call from for mtn to mtn And the data. Relationship with coworkers was just modest. I've learnt what working in a call center is like . The most challenging aspect is the unreasonable call volume we had ti deal with and most of which where calls that had to be for other departments so work wasn't shared amongst us accordingly and fairly as we handled everything.

Pros: Work experience
Cons: Uneven of unequal distribution of work loads. No superiors to take responsibility and bullying techtics / intimidation.

Excellence in processes and policies

I have exellerared in terms of my skills and have learned so much. A well oiled organization that assist in upskilling its people. People do their best and can do better. Organization not open to succession planning and promoting its people

A typical Day @ Work

Review the day's task Identify and list task per priority level Engage the team on the task/ project of the day, sensitize the team of work priorities, Take a cup of coffee and Get going with the work of the day, Allocate the time for debrief in the afternoon to measure the progress and completeness. Consolidate the feedback report, Submit to the team for peer review prior to finalization, then send it off.

Pros: Flexibility to work between multiple projects
Cons: Meeting in between projects
