I work as a project manager,
I am a currently working as a Process Engineering Technician with more than 5 years’ experience in the Minerals Processing industry which includes working as a Jnr Metallurgist and a Project Manager in a Mining and Metallurgical research institution. I have developed a solid reputation for successfully and profitably managing numerous concurrent projects through all project phases from conception through completion within targeted cost, schedule, and compliance parameters. Majority of the projects that I have been involved in include comminution and flotation process.

Good company to start your career at
Busy workdays balancing clients proposal requests, actual lab/pilot testwork execution, results review and write up. Good relationship with supportive coworkers. I enjoy the research aspects. Most challenging is to handle many projects due to shortage of staff.
Pros: I get to have projects entailing various commodities instead of just one.
Cons: No incentives which may be demotivating

Challenges- highly regulated environment. Compliance Keep current with legislation provide workshop to the internal clients as well as external clients to ensure that they keep current with the legislation
Pros: Attention to detail, no opportunity for growth .The structure within the division is too small

GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
Lab work ( sampling and characterisation), we have weekly meeting with my supervisor to plan for the week and give progress report and last week of the month we have departmental meeting and present our work to the management. I have learned presentation skills and learnt technical report writing, research and analysing results, problem solving skills and troubleshooting. i enjoy learning new thing and challenges. finding solutions at all time. not coming up with excuses even when equipment are not working ,always have alternative and thinking on my feet.

Excellent learning curve
It was a good company, where I got exposure in the field of physical metallurgy. I have worked well with people and acquired a lot of information. This has influenced me to even further my stadies at university of pretoria, where I managed to obtain a distinction in physical metallurgy in an honours level. Both the research and technical projects at this company has opened my mind and now I am a proud to say I am a good metallurgist.

Excelent and managing my work at middle management
I am very competent Warehouse Supervisor running Goods Receiving and Warehouse. I am totally independent reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and Finance Manager. I pay attention to details and I am result orientated. I improved the system, write new SOP's, uplift service level by drilling my inventory KPI's as to achieve best service for my clients.
