Great Management and Leadership skills
I've started at company as a VM for 3 years work my way up as a designated RVM and then got promoted in 2015 as RVM. 90% of my time I travelled the Garden Route , Port Elizabeth and East London Area's. Worked with a team of 5 . I had to facilitate workshops and training sessions for VM candidates. NSO preparations where part of my duties. Weekly feedback had be sent through as well as monthly staff planning. Promotional deadlines have to be met.Seaonal Trend workshop had to fone seasonally. Book Store visits for every 3rd month and all accommodation and travel arrangements need to be done. Visual equipment reports had to be done monthly. Assisting Stores on weekly basis with merchandising.Our communication channels where via whatsup group to communicate with all managers and VM maintainee's I travelled to Port Elizabeth every month and East London every 2nd month.

Good in learning different people
good environment to work at, staff is friendly they follows rules and regulations of the company, but there always that time you feel like crying due to the lack of communication when it comes to management.

Learning curve
There is not enough exposure to grow as an individual.the communication hierarchy lacks alot especially when it comes to the fashion consultants ,and also there should be more interest on the youth to be groomed and have more knowledge about sales and retail as a hole.management must interact with the employees to hear about their grievances and how to better the working environment for us.

Day to Day as floor managing.
On day to as a floor manager I enjoy being having to lead a team and having to meet deadlines. Many challenges are always around the corner but having to conquer everytime is what gives me the most pleasure.

The company it's more advance and it's great to work on it.i was loving the challenge that they have for us and the pressure and they teach you more stuff and you learn alot from them

I work in a pressurized environment which I enjoy.
Great company, good salary structure. Good people. Large retailer and head office structure is smaller so takes longer to grow and wait for higher positions to become available

Foschini
My typical day is at a high goal driven pace . People relationships is at the core of my daily work . Analysing my business across all key performance indicators on a daily basis . Crucial conversations takes place daily with team members . I have build close relationships with co workers across all divisions and fields . I have learnt that success is driven by people relationships and investing in peoples skills and development . I enjoy the visual merchandise and product analysing part of my job the most . The most challenging part is to remind myself that my standards and values are at a high standard and that others do not always comply with that .
