Excellent learning curve and it teaches u discipline
I have a great relationship with my co-workers in the sense we motivate each other and share ideas on how to perfom better to reach our targets as a branch. I learnt to be independent to take ownership about my work and be responsible.
Pros: None
Cons: Small opportunities to get promotion

Learning new ways everyday
My day will start off with a daily meeting, briefing the staff and expectations for the day ahead. Then from there it is approving of loans, responding to emails, weekly reports, customer complaints ,assisting clients, couching etc. What usually made my day was meeting different people every day and be able to assist them with their needs. Staff joked around in between assisting clients, that what kept the team going. What was challenging for me was the turn around time of feedback for queries sent way past the due date , also the card skimming and informing the the client that they will not be refunded. .
Pros: growing company, lots of opportunity to grow as well
Cons: long working hours

Not worth it
Long working hours No growth, everyone is an agent (they call it a call centre so that they dont have to pay you much) Very little perks (infact, only R375 for medical aid if you have any) Bursaries for those who qualify.
Pros: Bursary
Cons: No growth

Assistant Branch Manager in training
I normally run a branch alone when both my managers are away for a day or two. Handle all difficult clients and employees and attend to all client queries. Have an excellent working relationship with my employees and employers.
Pros: Currently an Assistant Branch Manager in Training
Cons: 9 - 7 weekdays

It's a good and respectable company to work for
It's a good and respectable company to work for The hours are not bad. No weekends off. The clients are smart. The colleagues are the best. The boss is a perfect role model. You learn something new everyday. I enjoy using their equipment. Cutting edge technology. I take about 50 calls from consultants and assist them with technical and financial queries and escalating incidents to the correct departments then sending feedback to them if it has been provided.
Pros: Growth.
Cons: Working on Weekends

Wonderful experience
A beautiful job always on your feet. Meeting new people. Helping them live better. Awesome team work. Creating relationships with the clients and employees. It's a huge family. Enjoy the fact that it is a happy environment. There are bad days when u have difficult clients but always helping them solve their problems. When you help someone it makes you feel good. Client service is very important in an industry like capitec bank.
Pros: Like new challenges
Cons: None

Learning curve,challenging
A typical day at work includes long hours on calls with clients. Scheduled breaks and lunches meaning you do not have lunch at the same time everyday. Relationship with other workers is ok but minimal as we are always busy with client's on the calls. What I learnt the most is to work with clients as I had never worked at a call centre before,as much as I have never worked on a customer service job. The most challenging aspects of this job is the shifts as they can be scheduled till 10pm at night(latest shift). Night shift, aswell as no off weekends. Long hours on weekends aswell. What I enjoy the most about this job is making a client's day with assisting them. Challenges are being under staffed on month end when there are system issues
Pros: Great opprtunities at the company
Cons: Long working hours

Downward spiral
a typical day at work was very stressful. Management was useless at Capitec Bank. Co-workers was back stabbing. a lot of people stayed out of work. Little or no increases was given.Micro management. I have learnt how cash devices work , how to arrange call outs. I loved doing my job and would go the extra mile. There was no chance of growth in the company as they would only promote people who they favor. Working with Management that was racist and had no people skills or problem solving skills made for challenging aspects of the job.
Pros: if you work in a great team there is growth for promotion
Cons: Long working hours, changing shifts at a whim

Great learning experience
Longer working hours. You pretty much do everything that the bank offers no specific focus area. This makes one easily adapt to different roles in the bank
Pros: Great work environment, open and transparent
Cons: Longer trading hours
