Excellent learning curve for me. A stepping stone

I love working with people and having a job that is well paying, secure and less exhausting. I am a loving and outgoing person who is very independent and ambitious. More than anything I am a child of God who is a very strong Christian.

Capitec helped me when Ihad no job and no work experience

It is busy and the working hours are longer than other banks. Client always comes first and service is also a priority. We work as a team only when it suits us and I have learnt that it is not that bad of an organization but the problem is with the management. I enjoy interacting with clients and solving their financial problems and at times lift up their spirits when they are feeling down. The main challenge is the pressure that we get from management and the disrespect at times.

Good learning curves

-Working with a variety of clients helps a lot in learning more about their different behavior - Exploring and development growth from my team, sharing ideas, experience and alternative methods when faced with challenging clients - Team efforts, everyone is corporative and always willing to go extra mile to assist clients regardless of what the challenge may be - What is most challenging is when we out most want to help a client and they get disapproved, after trying all necessary measures - What i enjoy most us when all my team nembers reach and exceeds our targets and we grow our sales, attract more clients our share price increases

Exposure to customer service and working under pressure and target-driven industry

What I have learned is a lot as every month we are given targets to achieve which means that you need to have selling skills in order to achieve targets given. Working under pressure been working in a busy branch for 2 years which means we are timed when assisting clients with their queries. It taught me to be efficient and effective at all time. There is growth in the company and we also have learning resources if one wants to enhance their skills and knowledge. I work well with my team as there is no grudges if one is mistreated unfairly solve the problem now before it gets worse.

Pros: Opportunity growth which one can be promoted to the next level
Cons: Long working hours and now I am in a quiet branch which is not challenging.

Great company to build yourself to something you would like to do one day .

Capitec is one big family, and I started my career with them and I'm so proud to say I’ve build myself within the company. What I have learnt is that thing never stay the same and that is one thing about the banking part, each and everyday changes happened and it was always brought upon us and we had to adapt to it that was one difficult thing to do in the begging but I got used to it and change is not always good but it’s for the better. I will miss it a lot if I have to leave there one day because it’s been 3 years and I’ve grown closer to me team .i have a team we called the CCA team, and we have a Team leader that sees over us, but the day she is not in I will stand in and look after my team without any back round or qualifications, but the respect and trust and the team work I give was enough to show I can do it

Cons: Don’t have my license yet, but starting classes soon

Sales. Client service. Relationship building.

Open new savings accounts. Do credit applications. Take deposits. Inform and add value to clients. Handle client complaints and enquiries. Perform follow up and telemarketing. Challenge - Steep sales targets. Enjoy - Client facing and problem solving activities. - Close working relationship with colleagues. Family unit. Very competitive yet team efforts count.

Pros: Continuous learning
Cons: Long working ours. Target driven. Work holidays and Sundays.

We receive documents from debt counsellors and change clients statuses on our system

• Process debt review documentation, accept and restructure proposals and auction them. • Manage the clients’ debt review profile • Receive the debt review documentation from the debt counsellor. Action same on our debt review system (we generate certificate of balance, consent letters, change clients’ interests and instalments on our system) • We set up targets, as we need to respond to debt counsellors within five business days. • Furthermore, we follow up with debt counsellors on arrear payments and we also terminate debt review matters where payments were defaulted or where there is an outstanding document to conclude the clients’ application • We also build relationships with debt counsellors and visit their offices.

Great learning opportunity

One great thing about working for the company is that you grow as a person because there is so much to learn.The work environment is not that great as we have lots of challenges regarding how we being managed as empolyees and the amount of pressure.However it is a great start to anyone's career as you learn alot from client service and growing as a person.
