Uncertain Reasoning in Computing

Duties for the work as the IT mentor for the Students Include the following. • Network Troubleshooting • Teaching Basic Programming Languages to first year students • Word Access • It Technical Support • Html, C++ and Java Programming • Software Installation and Operating Systems Relationship has a strong bond with unit and understanding one another. I learnt that working together as a team is the fundamental solution to our activities easily and simple. I enjoy that most of our students are cooperative to what we teach them as the daily practical of the IT. The most challenging part is that some of the students are not that much fast to catch up they need time so we develop patient for them.

Pros: Wish to be the Senior Network Architect
Cons: Hours of work must be more enough since our job is suitable to us

Excellent working environment

I am regularly in contact with the End-users, colleagues and suppliers, attending to their queries and enquiries. This attest to an excellent relationship I have with all this stakeholders and my superiors. Teamwork and going extra-mile for what you do goes a long way in relieving some of the pressure on your duty is one of the things I've learnt from my work and will definitely take it with going forward. everyday challenges and being able to bring a smile on someone is what really keeps going and make me wake up every day to report for my duty. One of the most challenging aspect about my work is that of non-compliance to the procurement policy, especially from our higher offices and then overrule your decision by virtue of their offices. but with the necessary training and guidance this can be slowly but surely eradicated.

Pros: Great career development opportunity.
Cons: Being regarded as a miracle worker and the thought that you are not that good because of your title.

Growth and prosperity

This is a rural university with over 15000 students. My job is to ensure that the nursing simulations run smoothly. I have a close relationship with my co workers especially the clinicians who we work closely with at a regular basis. I have learnt that working together in harmony and peace results in growth and prosperity of the department.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Stressful

Excellent learning curve but limited room for personal growth

Student tutor and mentor with limited resources for personal growth. Long hours of working and big classes as per the requirements of the job. Nonetheless, exciting working environment as students are indeed a blessing to learn from each and every day

Cons: Understand paid

Great learning curve and growth

Student Affairs(Housing department) My day starts like any other normal day but doesn't end like any, dealing with residents allocation and well being of the students subjects you to life of a cop, social worker and also a mentor/advisory which is great. We are in good relations with my co-workers we hold staff meetings every morning to brief and grief the problems we come across daily, working at the student affairs has actually shifted my view/perspective on how to resolve social, physical and psychological problems faced by our students, so this has help enhance my problem mediating and solving skills. I enjoy interacting with students and off-course the inspections and facilitating the residents. The most challenging would actually have to be accommodation, but outside having to deal with staff and students at the same time.

Pros: excellent opportunity for promotion
Cons: Long working hours
