Varsity Life

I learned a lot from my colleagues and bosses. I was inspired to venture into academia. Loved the constant change in people I encountered and enjoyed assisting to solve the issues that arose. I grew into the capable person I am today through my experience at the University

It is great working here have learnt a lot

I hav The experience I gained working in the laboratory for the past two years as a Demonstrator and a Laboratory technician (intern) has given me an advantage. As an honours student, I learnt different ways of data, research activities, maintaining project documentation and project reporting and specimen collection. My internship developed those skills and added being responsible and meeting deadlines, and working and communicating with colleagues above and below your work position. Right now, I have more than two-year laboratory experience.

Pros: great co-workers and communication
Cons: long hours sometimes

LLB LAW Student at UKZN HOWARD COLLEGE

I am currently a final year LLB Law student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal hoping to cede my articles of clerkship as soon as possible. I am a well rounded, hard working, young and focused individual who is ready to use my theoretical knowledge in a practical environment as well as furthering my career. I have my own reliable vehicle with a valid drivers license with 3 years of driving experience. I reside both in durban and Cape Town And am ever willing to relocate to kick start my career as this is my main and only focus.

Pros: Large and independent working environment teaches one to self motivate
Cons: The academic weighting does not have a good balance and the number of assessments are not enough to accurately test ability

Doing glass and field trails simultaneously, when it came to analysis of plant and soil

-Planning and execution of planned duties for that particular day. --Working well with my co-workers assisting one another when needs be and as well as working independently - Playing is a key way to succeed since it was able make keep my disciple and focus - Learning and implementing the skills I have learnt e.g. when doing soil analysis had to learn how to use the automated gallery analyser - Being unable to see family for a long time, how ever this was rectified by taking a break once in a while.

Pros: Learning to solve challenges which arise with handling of a large number of samples
