Change is always good.
My duties at my current job where to organise my departments, wether whether it came to cleanliness or sorting out functions to food preparations, and ordering of products I am there. If a department is down, as a team we help out. We all laugh and joke but when it's time to work we are all heads down and we only listen to one voice. I have learnt different attitudes and how to work them out and work with then, at the end of the day we all needed to work hand in hand and that's key in any business.
Pros: Change would be good.

Experience
It has been a great pleasure working at my company, i was hired straight from graduating and was put on permanent straight away. I have learned alot about the position i am in and i have grown as a person. I have created great working relationships as well as lasting friendships at work. The team is work with is great and we work well together. I have been given the chance to train and learn in other departments, as well as grow as a person.

Excellent learning xperience
The hospitality industry is a great industry to be in however I personally find that it just is not for me. Growth does not happen as fast as some of us may like it to. I've been in the industry for 7years and it's taken me this long to come to the conclusion that I no longer want to work in this field. While I am very much do a people's person I am also very family orientated and just feel that I miss out on life while in the hospitality field as holidays weekends and public holidays is when we are required to be at work. While my career is important to me so is family and making memories and this is why I am now trying to move away from this field

People development, business analysis and implementation of strategy to grow the business
As General Manager, it is important to oversee several delivery points. Montivate, direct and guide HOD's and staff. Look at improvements of revenue streams and ensure productivity is in line with expected requirements. Client interaction is key as the business depends on return base. Focus on standards and being dynamic in thinking to allow client expectations are delivered. The challenge is to ensure staff remain focused on the delivery, with the social dynamic of the country it is difficult not having staff come to work and leaving their problems at the gate. Constant discussions and motivation is key in ensuring productivity is maintained. What i enjoy the most is empowering staff and management. Watching them build their confidence and seeing them giving more to the organisation brings a sparkle to my eye.
Pros: People empowerment, client interaction building relationships, determined on achieving goals both personal and organisation.
Cons: Cannot switch my phone off, take work home, balancing of work and private life

Good platform for show casing my skills.
It a well diverse company that offers the employees a platform to grow, express themselves. It the manager/supervisor is not at work on the day as an Electrician I took over the and run the Department. It has very friendly stuff that even if you are not having a good day, it definitely changes everything once you have started working. Everyone there smiles, greeting each other, it a very family environment than a wirk place. A day that starts with good and proper planning for every job ahead, it makes it easy to tackle it. The beauty about my department is you find the guys shaking each hands every morning and that a sign of a healthy department. Team work is our motto, we win collectively, we loose collectively. I enjoy being challenged by the work that I am doing, I love it.

Exellent learning curve
Finance is usually seen as very boring, routine, but within this company it's everything but boring. Ofcoarse there is your routine, day to day finance related tasks and reconciliations that needs doing, but there is always the people element that comes into play that throws that curve ball. Either a guest related issue (indirect on my side) or an issue at a hotel during operations, guiding the people dealing direct on how to handle and possible solutions, how we can help from Finance side. "How can we make it easier to do business with". Streamlining processes in order to achieve the above and still within guidelines and policies. Challenge is getting the buy in on streamlining and consistent results from everyone and follow through on actions.
Pros: Great company, flexi hours, exposure to more than just finance.
Cons: Departments/experts that deal with certain aspect where we loose the knowledge and the how to - like Tax, legal, only exposed to basics.

Very good leaning curve with hands on exposure, excellent environment to gain experience from
No day is the same as the environment is a high volatile one, supporting a 24 hour operations. immediately when you get to the office there is most likely someone there to see you and consultant with HR matters so one is busy from the get go never a dull moment or a time to be bored. I have learnt interpersonal skills especially dealing with different individuals on a daily, ive also learnt how to use various systems as quick as possible because we service a large number of people. long working hours but job fulfilment there as you watch and see peoples life changes.

Excellent working pallette with great experience
I'm a passionate young chef looking for employment in a company with career objectives and willing to work my way up to the level where I believe I'm destined for. A company which will take me as an asset and being a part of team and team player in reaching out companies goals.
Pros: No opportunity for growth unless you are in good terms with management.
Cons: Shift changes
