Learning curve
This was my real first time job and I have learned so much within these 2 years. Working with different people from all over South Africa over the phone and dealing with difficult customers and all really prepared me for the business field of work. Even being supervised by different people and selling different products on the floor helped me a lot with regards to being flexible in a work environment.

Excellent learning curve which offered invaluable experience.

Learning to learn different people and attitudes.
I work with customers I get a chance to meet with lot of different people and I manage to give them the customer service they deserve because thats what I'm employed to do. I really love my job.
Pros: You get a chance to grow within the company and also get an opportunity to learn to work with people

The Foschini Group is an excellent company,its has taught me so much
I am a hard worker and I have a great attendance record. I work well under pressure and I always do my best in any assignment given to me. Time management is very important to me because it shows I respect the company I work for and my colleagues. I have great written and verbal skills. I am an optimistic person and I always try to motivate my colleages. I work well in a team and I can also work well alone

Career growth
Working for the company has it's benefits. In the space I work in is a diverse space, different people from different places like in any company. It is very important to know what you go to work to do to avoid conflicts. People are not always friendly, which has taught me that in a workplace, especially dealing with clients on a day to day basis you must put your differences aside with colleagues and make it all about the clients. The goal for all should be perfect customer service.
Pros: There is growth in the company, everyone has to pull their weight to make it to the top because growth is there.
Cons: Shifts, we get to work until 9pm - which is not much of a problem, you get used to it.

Great learning experience
I have been working for the Foschini Group for just over a year now. TFG's culture is really amazing; most people are friendly and warm. I have a good relationship with my manager, and co-workers, and I have learnt how to deal with difficult situations and confrontations. My duties and responsibilities have certainly grown over the past few months. I am now more involved in decision making and am working on a project that requires a lot of my knowledge. The most challenging aspect of my job is that I work in isolation. Not many people have knowledge in risk management and it gets difficult when I need advise or need to bounce ideas off people.
Pros: Opportunity to gain experience in risk management

I have reached the ceiling and need more duries
A good environment and excellent hard working agents. Got excellent growth programmes and very friendly people to work with. Teaches you persiverence to take on anything and grow yourself. Excellent training environment to set you up to be fully compititint once hitting the floor.

Great experience
I decided to join the retail industry just to know the feel of it , it is a very nice environment to work in but I still recommend call centre because it is the only industry I spent most of my time in. my experience within my workplace is very good it boosted me so much because I use to sell things over the phone without the knowledge of what axactly is the client doing but now the customer is just in front of me so I know full attention is on me . My co-workers are very good to me, they assist where I struggle and they also learn from me few things like selling skills and customer service skills. The most challenging thing is when you work so hard to meet your target but you get other people who cause the whole team not to meet target because they don’t mean their individual target but I guess it needs team spirit to change such situations.
