It was a great learning experience and confidence builder.

Working for TFG has been a great experience, it has unarguably built my business acumen apart from me studying a Bsc for 4 years. It has built my confidence, communication skills and being a team player who never gets tired to plant positive seeds within my peers to drive the whole team's work ethic forward. Our work environment was a sales atmosphere where we worked tirelessly to reach our daily targets, to ensure that we do meet the month's targets for incentive payouts and to also ensure our brand meets targets. It relies heavily on one to be motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and always look forward to making each day count. We did all this by ensuring that we also treat customers fairly and align ourselves to the company's fundamental pillars (PRIDE square) Professionalism, Resilience, Integrity, Discipline and Empowerment. These have molded me to become the fine gentleman i am today both inside and out of the company.

Pros: The working hours were convenient.
Cons: I have witness minimal promotion opportunities.

Its a exxelent learning curve because I know a lot of things witch I didnt

Check my float if it balances, clean my counter, make sure its customer friendly, assist customers with they products,do add on sales to ensure daily target being made, receive acknowledge and unpack stock.ensure stock is priced correctly and sensormatics has being inserted. Assisting with ringing clothing.do cash and card transactions.do beauty make overs and skin aneleses.housekeeping.I'm getting along just fine with other staff members. I have learned that the customer is the most important entering and leaving the store, the quicker you can assist them the more satisfied and sooner they'll leave the store, preventing customers wondering around in store.I enjoy doing my promotions & make overs. The most challenging is to prevent stock loss, yoh its difficult!!

Pros: Would love to be a cosmetic manager for Revlon

HR and payroll experience

Starts off with a morning meeting in order to be updated with business processes, business highlights, to get understanding of work load. Each day normally very busy, priority of tasks changes throughout the day. Lots of payroll queiries to deal with and need to pay attention to each one. Enjoy working with my team, we laugh, we work and just able to pull together when the pressure is on. I have learnt to be focused, to be attentive, dealing with pressure, and to deal with change. I enjoy assisting our customers and transactional side of payroll system and processes. Meeting deadlines and getting employees paid on time and accurately is the most challenging part of the job.

Pros: Moved from HR administrator to payroll administrator in 8 months
Cons: have to work extra hours and highly pressurised.

My Review

arrive before 8, get comfortable, make sure all my staff at work, log into my pc, open various systems to monitor agents, open spread sheet to ensure all sales for previouday is captured, ensure that all staff are getting calls great my fellow colleuges. then drive the sales team to achieve target. the thing ive learnt is be on top of your agents that way they cant BS you with anything plus ive been in call centres for a long time and am able to see any if not all funny things that agents think they get away with. the most challenging aspect of my job is for me i guess, developing people here, its slow and non supportive in a sense that if i want to send my agent who i think will make a good customer service agent to training for customer services then its a whole process and alot of red tape holding you back to help that person grow.

Pros: the benefits
Cons: the Salary

Results driven

It is an extremely high pressure environment with an emphasis on achieving results. The fact that it is very much a sink or swim environment makes you learn a lot faster and develop quicker than you would in other organisations. All in all working with my fellow employees was a joy, they are a very supportive bunch. I have learnt that you have to drive your own growth otherwise you'll get left behind.

Pros: Great development for a graduate
Cons: long hours, slower than expected growth
