It lacks a challenge.

It doesn't challenge me at all,if i were to stay i'd get comfortable and find myself in debt.it's actually good for someone who is still at school who doesnt have much responsibilies.

Pros: Guaranteed provident fund and a medical aid
Cons: Not equiping its staff to search for better opportunities or enable them by conducting trainings and short courses.

Learn how to communicate with peers and clients

We work so hard and we understand each other even motivate by having power hours where if you not making sales,we would give support and try to as sit on you sales pitch,learnt a lot how to work as an individual and how to work as a team to meet the daily targets.Sales environment is a very vibey environment where u can stand and pitch feel free when you selling your product.The most challenging part is where you need to convince client or customer to buy your product that you are selling.

Pros: Growth in the industry
Cons: Not be ask to work overtime

Challenging work place

Work placw is not proffessional lots of stealing inside ,fights and dating.workers are not given same rules some have the right to do what they want eg uniform some are allowed to wear whatever some are not allowed.some are guided to do work some are free they can stand the whole day.some managers cant do certain duties like assisting by the counter while its compulsary fo everyone to know how to operate the tills.there are no promotion opportunities as we have cashiers .sales associate and management there are no careers that we can work hard to get an oppprtunity to get promoted to.I enjoy packing stock and assisting customers.

Pros: you learn lots of work duties fast
Cons: long hours and weekends you working

It is very hard to apply for other positions

I started working for the company as credit advisors since 2006 ,moved to the administration section in the same department and back to collections after 2year but only got a Team leaders position in 2015 it took London and hard work to prove that am worthy a higher position.

Pros: Am currently a flexi Team leader
Cons: Shift allowance

Customers service

At the retail customers service is the key, and working together as a team it makes a job easy and fun, I enjoyed working at the retail as I was meeting people everyday and I enjoyed working with people, giving customers the best we can, making our customer happy at all time and treating them with tha same dignity, and at a retail we always busy on weekend months end, even though we where small amount of staff, we always give our customers excellent service and it was fun as we work as team to reach company expectations, I believe good customer service is a key to a business success.

Pros: At TFG there's a room for promotion as I been promoted twice in a year period
Cons: 09:00-21:00

I am a fast learner

The job that I do include opening the store and closing store at night, doing admin during the day like filing the admin work also supervising the staff to do their work giving orders that's a work day at work. With my coworkers I have a open and honest relationship with them. I have learnt in the workplace you have to be honest at all times in your workplace,and also to respect those around you. The most I enjoy about my work is to get a challenge from a customer and buy resolving the customer complaints that a customer will give you. I had a challenge for a customer the other day the customer had send his coffee machine in for repairs and had to be back in a week's time so that didn't happend,so I had to phone my area manager to help me so at the end had to give him a new machine,so everyone was happy at the end.

Pros: I want a better work place
Cons: Do not want to work long hours

Good Learning Curve

The company has provided a great learning curve for me. Through patience and understanding, I have established good relationships with my colleagues, and that improves my typical work day and reduces a lot of unnecessary pressures. I have learned countless things on administration, Human Resource, Systems and interpersonal relationships. I train experienced people to effectively make use of the company's system, and correcting them isn't always easy since they have been using the same system for years. This system affects the general employee's salary, work hours and shift patterns. I'm always required to make good facilitation, making sure every individual understands the system.

Excelent learning curve

While in the foschini group, so much I have learnt, because now I can work under pressure, being a target driven person, attention to detail...how important is the customer in everyday basics. I have learnt that tge client/ customer us always right nomatter what and being patient with them always.

Pros: a good oportunity for me to grow within the company.

I am passionate about retail and can make a huge difference in any retail business

I have extremely good experience in retail and can make a huge difference in any retail company with my years of working in retail. I am very confidant that i know most of the in's and out's of retail and. i work very well in a team and as a team leader. I have learned that is have a great passion for retail since i left my previous employment to start my own business, i really missed it. i enjoy the challenges in the retail industry, the most challenging aspects of the job is to maintain and increase your annual turnover.

It was a great learning experience and confidence builder.

Working for TFG has been a great experience, it has unarguably built my business acumen apart from me studying a Bsc for 4 years. It has built my confidence, communication skills and being a team player who never gets tired to plant positive seeds within my peers to drive the whole team's work ethic forward. Our work environment was a sales atmosphere where we worked tirelessly to reach our daily targets, to ensure that we do meet the month's targets for incentive payouts and to also ensure our brand meets targets. It relies heavily on one to be motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and always look forward to making each day count. We did all this by ensuring that we also treat customers fairly and align ourselves to the company's fundamental pillars (PRIDE square) Professionalism, Resilience, Integrity, Discipline and Empowerment. These have molded me to become the fine gentleman i am today both inside and out of the company.

Pros: The working hours were convenient.
Cons: I have witness minimal promotion opportunities.
