Excellent learning
Volunteering its not an easy thing to do but it takes only a passionate person to do that. Learning on how to do best in helping public to achieve their right to a safe and secure environment. Working with public members its not easy but we have to show them that we are doing the best we could to help them. I also learn fast on how to investigate a person to get the right information.working with detectives we learn on how to be patient with public and do what's best for them.

GOOD EXPERIENCE
I am the member of SAPS for the past 12 years, I am a Vetting Investigation Officer, holding the rank of a Sergeant and now posted at Counter Intelligent Investigation, attached to Vetting Investigation Unit. My duties includes Investigating of Security Clearance by Studying Personal files, Schedule Interviews, Evaluate Information, Compile, type, administer and make copies of vetting reports, SAP 69 enquires, Receive and assisting in completion of Z204 form and the maintenance effective record keeping system in terms of vetting application and tasking., Receive all vetting applications within the province, The proper updating of registers, Completion and updating of case books, Completion of monthly summaries.

Interested to study

Excellent learning curve
I am at current answering two hundred to five hundred calls that includes emergencies a day and transferring them to relevant departments that consists of five hundred to eight hundred people in the building. In my post, one needs to familiarize themselves with all departments in the building and know exactly where to transfer a call to save time, money and possibly the life of the caller. It is a great experience, having to be so helpful between clients and the organization. It is most of the time an excellent learning curve and i love helping people. The only difficult part of my job is when someone who is in trouble calls screaming for help and the call gets cut off and it is worse when the call is untraceable for a recall.
Pros: Great opportunity to learn and be aware about what is happening around us on daily bases

I have a valuable work experience within a Safety and security environment. Self-motivated, hardworking and innovative; highly driven by desire to achieve significant results, displaying a positive attitude, energy and good humor at all times. I have worked for 2 (two) years in a private company and 12 (twelve) years in the Public service.

Good commutation
My relationship with co-workers is when they don't know how to calculate hours or their tariff to help them and our relationship is to very strong because I'm working for the Accounting station and all other station submitt their claims to me.I learn a lot from my Mentor e.g how to respect members,how to deal with police members, how to calculate overtime,Capture bank forms information, Capture Sunday and Nights claims. I enjoy to work with police members because we do team work and respect each other. The most challenge is when you request advance for a member who is going to court or course and when he/she come there is no invoice for B&B.
Pros: Experience on financial system
Cons: I have to work long hours when calculate overtime for the whole cluster. Normal hours is 8 hours per day.
