Aircraft maintenance
Engineering Practices, Standard Practices, Surface Preparation of new and old surfaces, Brush application, Spot repairs, Blending In, Spray gun application , Stop and filling ,Finishing coat application ,Polishing, Mixing and matching of colors ,Finishing preparation ,Using of multi spray system , Paint stripping, Masking of surface to be painted ,Painting of interior of aircraft, Stencils transfer punches, Application of decals and Workshop standard practices. DUTIES Assisting artisans with the all job must be done on exterior and interior of aircraft in painting. Monitoring apprentices on job training and to follow rules and regulations. Implementation of health and safety that must be follows. Management on resources apprentices are using. Preparations of tools to be used by artisans. Assisting verifications of all work is done to be signed off.

Excellent learning curve
I completed my matric in 2005,completed my electrical engineering N6 higher certificate in 2009,I have just recently completed my avionics aircraft instrument mechanic apprenticeship and looking forward in working using the skills i have learned ans also willing to learn new skills. I am a goal driven individual willing to even study more to equip my career. I am a great asset to any company that will invest in me and will provide great productivity

WORKING FOR MY COMPANY HAS ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES - ADVANTAGES BEING THAT IT HAS ONE OF THE BEST INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE WORLD AND THE DISADVANTAGES ARE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN, FOR WHICH I AM NOT, YOU ARE BOUND TO GET STUCK IN THE POSITION THAT YOU ARE IN FOR A LONG TIME WITHOUT PROSPECTS OF BEING APPOINTED TO A SENIOR POSITION.
Pros: JOB SECURITY IS GUARANTEED DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF CLIENTS THE COMPANY HAS IN THE AREA OF AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS

Good experience,
This is a great company to work, you get to learn new things every day. The teamwork brings out the best of you. I enjoy learning things about aircraft.

Inspiring work Environment yet hecticly busy
A day begins with a decision making. One has long term/short term projects and daily tasks outside these projects. I have to decide what is most urgent at that point. My colleagues are of all ages and different races. Some are grumpy, stern, lazy and some a pleasure to work with. I Have learnt a lot from my colleagues, not just professionally but personally. The older generation holds a lot of wisdom and you just need to take a scoop of that wisdom. Professionally, Its a deep end. My department (engineering planning) is the heart of that company. What is legislatively correct today changes overnight and you need to learn something new. I enjoy being allowed to think outside the box but within the rules. This is challenging though because some tasks may be bigger than you and I have failed many times but I come back stronger and wiser.
Pros: Learning never stops.

StastsStandard Practices 1-5, Overhaul Practices 1-4,Engineering Practice 1-4, Instruments, Soldering, AC current, DC current, Structures, Flight control, Gas Turbine Engines, Piston Engines, Propellers and Engine servicing.
Pros: Hard work, team player, good personality, trouble shooter, problem solving skills, time management, ambitious, career oriented.
Cons: Hate waking up early hence I always relocate closer to work.
