I'm highly motivated and always willing to learn
Working for a company like smollan has taught me value and how to be team worker, discipline and apply those values in my daily life Everyday there's different challenges which i come across , but that has made me grow and learnt how to overcome all the obstacle when it comes to keeping the client and meeting their demands . The environment is good .

Current Responsibilities
I’m the finance business partner for IT and Technology. Technology business that I look after include a Customer Control Centre. Responsible for accurate reporting, forecasting and annual budgets. A typical day includes look at new business opportunities and analysing new opportunities. Currently have 1 person reporting into me (my assistant) I work with a Shared Finance Department. Reporting normally takes place 3 days into the new month. Final reporting takes place on the 7th working day of the month. I will report a report highlighting differences between actual vs budget and variance vs the prior years results. After reporting is completed, I will review the actual results with the Client Executives for the different divisions (6 different Client Executives). Once the review for the month is completed, we will look at the rolling forecast. Getting inputs from the Client Executives, finance teams and operational team. On an annual basis I will prepare the budgets for each division.

Excellent learning curve
It is the best company to start up your career. Excellent training programs. Long working hours. No work and life balance as you always at work. Never get to spend the weekend with the family as often as you like. When going to team building outings people group themselves according to thier race groups.

My experience with the company
I work at a very fast passed environment, there is massive pressure on my line of work due to the type of clients we deal with. There is high volume of calls to be dealt with and the SLA has to be met at all times to ensure we give quality service to our clients. I have a very good relationship with my colleagues which needs to be maintained at all times because team work makes our work much easy. In my time with smollan I have acquired a lot of knowledge from people skills, planning skills and problem solving skill. Technical knowledge include (but not limited to) Exchange server, Azure Active Directory, Office 365 Administration, Windows Operating system(7/8/10) computer hardware diagnostics and repair. The biggest challenge we face on a daily is dealing with people's emotions and frustrations while trying to figure out resolutions to whatever problem they might be having.

Cons: Not much exposure to the core system functions due to most of things being outsourced

Career driver
Working at Smollan has been a blessing,since in 2004 Company drives employee development and today I have moved through the ranks . The learnings of working with people and other stakeholders have improved how I used to perceive others I enjoy every moment in this business and with their trainings,I am a better manager today

Great learning experience
I have been with the Smollan group for 14 years, broke service for a year and returned and am here currently for a year. The first time i started at the rockface and and worked my way up to a regional level and left.
Pros: Good benefits, stability and security.
Cons: Long working hours, too much change too quickly , very stressful

Excellent learning curve
Alot of change management plans need to be implemented to change the corporate culture. Drive doversity, Equality and Inclusion needs to be a priority.
