The work environment is really great the co workers are friendly everyone has respect for one another I've learnt to work as a team and learnt to encounter new challenges.I enjoyed working and helping clients in need of service.

Issuing, maintaining and renewing of commercial policies.
I am currently working under commercial lines where I issue,maintain and renew policy. With all these task I am expected to make a target of at least 25 polices a day. The work is not straightforward as you have to seek other missing information from brokers in order to complete the request. The exiting part about the work is discussing with co workers about the work, which helped in improving the quality of the work. The most challenge was the target. As much as policies are different we were expected to reach the target regardless of the policy size.
Pros: Santam is one of the biggest short term insurance company. It gives lot of exposure in insurance industry. Is a very diverse company.

I'm a go getter top performer
I am a go getter to performers of 4years straight. I thrive in target driven environments. I have my commercial and Personal lines credits. I have my RE5 and study management part time. I love studying. No kids or husbands
Pros: I want something different and excel in something new
Cons: I'm not sure if there is long week ends but I'm wiping to try if my heart is in the job

Correspond with insured or agent to obtain information or inform them of account status or changes. Modify, update, and process existing policies and claims to reflect any change in beneficiary, amount of coverage, or type of insurance. Review and verify data, such as age, name, address, and principal sum and value of property on insurance applications and policies. Examine letters from policyholders or agents, original insurance applications, and other company documents to determine if changes are needed and effects of changes. Notify insurance agent and accounting department of policy cancellation.

Excellent learning curve
working for my company, it can be challenging in a sense that our main object is to deliver good and proper customer service and any under circumstances in dealing with most difficult client and to the most jolliest person at the end of the day is meeting customer satisfaction and drive to go an extra mile in making the client happy. my typical work day is doing what is expected from and try to enjoy at as changeling as it can be. i get along with all my colleagues, even under dispute i try to maintain peace at all time, i have learnt that i don't have to be offended with everything that is said to me, be it my colleagues or the clients i deal with everyday, meeting the customer's expectations. the most difficult thing about my job is dealing with customers that do have no respect for other people and i still need to deliver an excellent service despite the harsh treatment.

I have gained a lot of experience
I'm currently in a learnership that will be ending at the end of March, it was a contract of 12. I am working under supervision, I have so much experience. Things that I thought I would never be able to do. I enjoy talking and helping clients, it brings a smile on my face when I receive a compliment from my clients sating that I was very helpful. The team that I am working with is amazing, they help me with everything that I need to know. They never get irritated of me. The Most challenging aspects of my Job is to always to keep up with the client as we get many claims, but eventually we do keep up with my client

Review
I have been working at Santam for along time. It I a very good company but not in the department I have for. Things change on the regular which I don't mind, but mostly lateral moves are made with in the department with no salary increases as different work is being done. I am a bit tired of my surroundings and in need of some change of scenery. I want to meet new people and work well with them. Basically I need a new work family who appreciates me as I would them.
