Poor payment

Working at Samancor is great if you have no expectations regarding salary or if you have no interest in being able to be self sufficient. Work relationships are always getting mixed with politics. A normal day consists of working your fingers to the bone only to be poorly compensated.

I work with a group of family, there is unity and everyone is all in

Hello the company I work for is good, however there are challenges and job security issues but other than that we producing and hopefully there will be a security for our jobs

Cons: No bonus and salary is a little compared to the market

Very great exposure and interesting environment

Learnt to work in fast paced laboratory environment and deal with different customers and get along with all of them. The most challenging aspects were having to analyze many samples with due date being very close, but due to the good team we had that was not a problem at all and we were always meeting deadlines even for proficiency testing of qotho and ECLF

I am willing to learn and not afraid to take a challenge

I started to work as a Blasting assistant(2011), then was given the opportunity to work as an HR administrator clerk/Time and attendance (2012), HR administrator SAP(2014), HR administrator Shaft (2016) then HR Practitioner Shaft (2017).

Pros: I was promoted twice in the last 5years of being in a company
Cons: I dont mind to work extra hours as long as it is arranged in time

Fair learning curve

ooitcis a busy work environment always work to be done, mostly work individually, you learn alot with the many technical challenges your face daily, good relationships with the supervisor and the team is always at an excellent level, friendly workforce, etcd in team working and workidually,I am punctual,I am driveent it is a bu

Help my self grow and gain more experience

I work Monday to Friday and weekends off, I have a good relationship with my employees I love my work because it allows me to be hands-on and interact with different people and the challenges I face is not being able to complete my job

It is a foundation that made me who i currently am

My day is hrctic but manageable,that i cab br the best even under pressure and i enjoy working with people from diverse culture as i am very adaptive,lack of communication by supervisor is my challenge

Pros: career development but promotion is scarce
Cons: normal working hours but workload can be too much sometimes

Excellent learning curve, which is challenging the intelligence of a person in a good way

It is a great company with a lot of opportunities, and has a diverse culture. They care about the their employees. Safety of employees comes first and they provide all the necessary training.

Pros: There's a lot of opportunities provided you meet the requirements

I have worked at samancor eastern chrome where i since 2012i as a learner miner up until I became a shift supervisor and It has became my comfort zone as i have been here for years which is why am looking for new opportunities and new challenges to explore my knowledge and to learn new things and gain more experience

Pros: I have been stated as a learner miner and promoted to be a team leader in stoping and then became a miner in 2014 later on in 2018 i was promoted to b shift supervisor
Cons: 9 to 12
