A good learning environment

Im currently working as a fitter onboard the ship and doing maitenance and repairs as per servicing schedule as well as operating system according to Sop,i work very well with my volleagues,i have learned a lots in this department because now i can do job without supervision as fitter,the most challenging about this job is that we work hard especially when we are at sea because everyone is looking at mechanical and electrical department for the ship to move.

Pros: the only time for you to get promotion in our department is for you to work torwards it because there is always a certain qualification for each rank
Cons: 24 hours overtime according to rotation amongst duty mechanician.

We are responsible for making sure departments such as electrical, mechanical, logistics, humans resource and operations expends their budget through a prudent, frugal and cost effective procurement method. We receive requirements through client liaison, analyse requirements, allocate a process and satisfy end user

Good working hours and culture

Fantastic hours you can manage personal life well. Reasonable salary and balance of studying and helping others self develop in career. Understanding management who is always there for you. Wonderfull arrangements to have time to go gym or go for a daily jog.

Excelent learning curve,expand my experience on a different enviroment

Ititthe day goes according to a scheduled planning and work is done according to the maintenance schedule. The personnel is friendlycommittenmd at their work. it hI've learnt that takinggood care of the machinery is very vital because that mechinary and systems are the ones that our lives depend on. I've enjoyed seing other countriessailing with different ships.a

Military based company that works with maintenance. has a lot of electrical equipment that needs to be looked after. I have maintenance on installation based and on component level.

I have a good relationship with my co workers.

It doesn't support technical progressio nad and there are long working hours to be filled in weekly. n there is a small room for growth and development

Excellent learning experience

I’ve in the SA Navy as technical officer onboard Navy vessels occupying a Deputy Marine Engineering Officer post. I have good discipline and I can function properly without supervision. I’m a people’s person who always motivated when doing his job. My leadership skills are excellent as well as my skills of becoming a good supportive subordinate.
