My company review

I normally get to work at 07h30 to do a walk the go and check my emails. At about 08h00, we attend a production meeting where as Production Managers, we cover safety topics, give production feedback and share a plan for the day. The meeting last for 30 minutes. The go to the office, reply emails and complete reports. Go back to the plant to check progress, go to lunch. After lunch I check my emails again and head straight to the plant to check progress and assist where it's necessary and knock off at 16h30. My relationship with my coworkers is great. There is trust, mutual respect, open communication and accommodate diversity amongst ourselves. I have learnt to work efficiently under the most stressed situations. I always approach my work with a positive attitude and an open mind. I enjoy collaboration, every one shares the same vision and dedicated to organisational mission. The most challenging aspect of the job is unavailability of conducive feed materials since gold production has declined.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Work politics but I know how to manage them. The issue is they waste valuable time.

Good

Meetings - with teams or productions Scheduling work for coming weeks Update SAP Generate/ Update Plans Undated tasks lists as per work order requests Notifications & work order analysis & turn over Attend to plant issue & requests Generate PR's & follow up on outstanding orders Generate & Analyze KPI's & reports Assist with contractors & plant Conduct/Lead improvement, RCFA & investigations sessions. I have an excellent relationship with all operators, artisans, foreman & managers. It is very important because it is a service I am providing and the relationship should be healthy I do have a vast knowledge of the plant & technical knowledge of electrical, planning reliability and projects. What I enjoy most is when you implement new plans or improvements in plant and it improve the reliability and availability in the plant Most challenging aspect is when planned work is not completed and then breakdowns follow soon. Aspect that we are working on to improve.

Pros: Stable company with good benifits
Cons: Gold market unstable

I'm always willing to learn more within the company and make use of a great opportunity.

I'm a very hard working person. I have a great relationship with my co-workers and team. I've always learn to listen before I react on any decisions I make. I enjoy working with a team that works hard and want to achieve the same goal as all. Most challenging I would say is to fail as a team and not getting any targets complete.

Pros: Getting a promotion
Cons: Long hours
