I worked in sales and customer service department for 5 years. My duties include giving customer information on train station and numbers also administration. Working in my company with such good people is great,work load I never felt because of the team work and easy meeting targets. I have learn that able to work with people it makes everything smooth.I enjoy a lot working out of the office sometimes. Most challenging thing was to make the train ready at a specific time because there are people waiting for this train to go home.To fail to deliver

Gain a lot of Experiences
Although i have learnt a lot at PRASA what is lacking is career development , there is also lack of benefits i.e the company does not subsidise medical aid, there are no bonuses, pay progression system, housing and car allowance. I am currently looking for a company that offers some sort of benefits and have a greater room for growth.
Pros: Great learning experience due the bigger size of the organisation. The environment forces one to learn other areas of Railway transport management.
Cons: Lack of career development and benefits.

Maintenance of HV MV Substation , testing of Earth Spikes/earth mat and understanding schematic diagrams and fault finding on Schneider relays and AC/DC control circuit relays / monitors / timers. Talking out Work permits , Maintenance of Distribution Substation , XLPE cable jointing and terminatios , installations of Distribution boards and their fault finding , plugs and lights fault finding, Machinery maintenance and Crane maintenance , Maintenance and testing of high speed circuit breakers , calibration of DC high speed circuit breakers, Traction Rectifiers and Traction transformer maintenance
