Diverse employer

This company is a diverse company. Its a very busy and hectic environment. I like the reporting structure and how each employee is hold accountable and responsible for their prescribed duties. The employees are recognized for their excellent performance. There are always new tasks, you learn everyday.

Pros: Recognition for excellent performance
Cons: No promotion opportunities

Good

Just immediately after unlocking my laptop I open my Service desk MSP and check my call logs and make a cup of coffee if there isn't anything that requires immediate attention. Where I currently work I work with great people, consultation (asking for advice) is at ease, making everyone's job easy. Ive learnt that growth is even greater when willing to share what you know with others. If the question relates to my career or job, I would say when I find a solution to the most difficult problem without having to either consult someone else or the internet, I enjoy challenging myself with solving a problem.

Pros: Career growth
Cons: Poor communication

Pieces of a puzzle coming together

At the Sccu, work is unlike the general prosecutions offices. It is mentally challenging inside and outside the court room. It demands attention to detail from analysis of bank accounts, cellphone mapping, computer login details etc. In high profile matters, we work as a team. The most challenging aspects at Sccu is inside the court room, it is like a game of chess. I thrive on putting pieces of a puzzle together and presenting the final picture in court.

Pros: The experience at Sccu increases ones litigation and investigative skills
Cons: working includes after hours and weekends, work does not stop at the office
