Great learning experience

I enjoy working at Multichoice it gives one an opportunity to tap into different fields by using their skills they learned during training and apply them during calls I am good at what I do especially customer service as I learned over my working life that when you give a customer good service from the heart you get good better and excellent feedback The call volume differes during the month at the beginning it wud be high as there are more billing queries and mid month for our premium subscribers then when it's the windy season it's more of your technical and on a regular day it's more of technical, billing and promotions

Pros: Great opportunities for people who just got out of school
Cons: Explaining billing to a customer who was double charged

Excellent learning curve

Met a lot of great people, ambitous, talented and educated. But the job market isn't so great. However its a huge company with about 2000 warriors. Competition is tight, many get stuck while others leave. Chances of a promotion are slim to none. Those who got promoted before, can be demoted within a month. Lack of consistency. But a great company on the corporate side.

Pros: Different sectors, a learning curve
Cons: Night shift, weekends and holidays you are in. No christmas lunch with the family

Skills obtained to be the best customer service consultant, customers ain priority.

The company i work for is a very good company, they velue their employees. The relationship between the management and staff is very good, in a way that you can meet them on the corridors and just have a conversation, they always want to know our challanges on daily basis. The reason i want to resign is that i feel i've learnt all i could within the company and from the staff, i am now looking for a company that i can show off my expecties and grow within that company.

Pros: on a normal day, i'll see about 40 customers, we have peak and off peak times, holidays and month ends being our busiest times. team work is very crucial, inorder to achieve our service levels. i get to meet different people with different personalities, that's what i enjoy about my job, some of their queries do not even need them to come over or call the branch, but because they have that trust in us they come anyway.
Cons: 12 hours

Vibrant and innovative, Niche products, Casual culture

Company tends to operate in silos. Change is constant and adapting is compulsory Learning and Development opportunities are vast. Budget restrictions hinders certain growth objectives Company portrays a casual, yet innovative atmosphere Co-workers worked as a close knit team with high morale, however challenges arouse when team merged with marketing department. Well established and deep rooted trade relations Too many strategy meetings which led to overtime in order to catch up on various projects. Integrating the marketing and sales team was a huge positive too in that it meant a united objective had to be met in terms of marketing and sales plans

Pros: Huge corporate with various departments, where growth could be possible
Cons: Constant restructuring to align company with objectives, dampened spirits throughout

The experience was scintillating.

The company phenomenal to work, as you'd have a hassle free atmosphere as soon as you went till I knocked off. The best shift was the early shift from 7th to 3pm. The company taught how being panctual plays a big role in one's career and of cause all the technical side of the profession. The most challenging side was having to learn and perfect being technical savvy.

Pros: growth was slow
Cons: none
