Good learning experience

Working at Mtn was a good experience for me ,with good and bad days ..my team was the most amazing team ever..we worked hard and stood by each other ..we learnt from each other ..every day was challenging because although the queries were similar day after day but it depended who was on the other end of the line It may be the sweet kindest customer on one call and the next call was an irate customer so you always have to be on your toes ..working there thought me alot especially how to interact with different types of people character wise .. working at mtn for so many years especially in customer care was stressful at times with the hours and challenges we were put through but I'm happy I came out with knowledge and friends who became family .

Cons: working all the time including weekends and holidays

Great with customers and very eager to learn new things as well as sales driven

I would say in the type of environment i work in it can be very challenging and demanding.I deal with all types of people as well as work with different types of people.i enjoy what i do but unfortunately theres no growth for me here.I have learnt to be very patient and listen carefully to customers as also watch what i promise to my customers.

Pros: Always making money from incentives
Cons: Long working hours as well as only 2 sundays off in the entire month

Excellent leaning curve

It's great company to work with , great environment and recognition for your hard job. I have enjoyed working there however a person needs a change in life and I believe change is good. I also need a new challenge as my current job doesnt challenge me anymore.

Excellent benefits

Staff are hardworking and dedicated to providing excellent customer service to customers. MTN offers amazing benefits, they have issued shares to employees, they offer Camaf as a medical aid, they offer both pension and provident fund. Perm staff members are awarded bonuses in March and December.

Excellent leaning, hard worker

My background includes serving as a customer service executive for MTN(PTY)LTD. where my responsibilities included Navigating system to find information, provide excellent customer service, display telephone ethics, capture data, probe to find information, trouble shoot and administration work.

manage/ update trainers calendar Evaluate the team to devise whether their training is aligned to company expectations had an outstanding relationship with those I worked with I have learnt many skills- coaching, pushing myself, managing and selling ideas on work practises I loved the success of achieving goals

Mtn is a great company to work for.

MTN as a whole is the best telecom company to work for in south africa. they give there employees so much frienge benifits. The company employ only the best and have straight rules and regulations. Working for them is a joy, and the develope you as a person so that you can go out into the world and talk business.

Pros: Insentive drives are real good
Cons: Working hours are long and weekends you have to work.

Great company to work for

In my 8 years within MTN I learned quite a lot. Knowledge, insight and innovation are the top strategic goals of the company. Leadership qualities are nurtured and encouraged. The company exist in over 22 African countries hence streamlining process is a key performance indicator of every employee from Top management to operations level. Employees are professional and goal oriented. Various activities are practiced throughout the organization to encourage team work.

Great opportunity for growth

MTN Project NEXT! has given me a great opportunity to grow in my career. I am a trainer but have learned now to work within a project against critical timelines. The different stakeholders and deliverables have thought me new skills such as : UAT scripting and testing, Development of training material to meet localisation needs of countries in Africa and the Middle East. Training this diverse audience and learning about various cultures and ways of work. Meeting a challenge everyday!

Excellent learning curve

Working at MTN was exciting, learning new things everyday. Interacting with customers and helping them to resolve their queries. I've learnt how important it is to work as a team, building good relationship with my team mates and colleagues. I started my shift@ 6am to 15pm but by the end of my shift I'll be handled atleast 200 calls and all queries resolved. I've learned a lot about phones and how things work at the network.
