I have gained so much experience in this career at Media24.

To start of from a typical day you always know that you have a target to reach and always need to prepare the unexpected from a call.My relationship with my co workers I would describe it as highly professional and beneficial for everyone involved. We didn't hesitate to share constructive criticism within the team, and I believe that we helped each other to grow, both as professionals and as human beings.What I have learnt was a good memory and a higher level of knowledge and retention goes hand-in-hand with providing quality support to customers.As part of my role as a contact center agent you need to be able to learn and memorize information on how to handle certain callers and the company you are representing.What I enjoyed most is when I satisfy customers with either resolving the issue they have called for and striving for Incentives at the end.The most challenging aspect is when there is conflicting in co workers priority , but first call resolution is one of my strong points at a call center.

Great place to learn

- A typical work day- Close AD's, Send out Forecast, Do some reporting - Your relationship with co-workers- Good relationship with co-workers - What you have learnt- Communication and self management - What you enjoy most- Flexibility - The most challenging aspects of the job- The job is no longer challenging to me

It was great working there

Daily duties

Rewrite stories for the magazines. Sub copy, write headlines and captions. Proof read pages. Effect changes where necessary. Suggest story ideas and pictures. My relationship with co-workers is good because I am always in constant communication with them regarding story updates or when changing page layouts. What I have learnt is how a magazine operates because I spent most of my working life at newspapers. What I enjoy most is the light stories and giving fun twist on stories. The challenge is that approval of pages lies with one person - the editor. And this often delays the production, making us not to meet deadlines at times.

Overview

Great company to work for. Good work-life balance. Good at developing staff through formal education. Company in a sunset industry. Thus limited opportunity to grow into next roles. Future is unknown and might change at a drop of a penny. Somehow stuck in old way of thinking and ability to change limited by significant red tape. Enough strides made to change the corporate culture but might be a little to late. However, not all is lost and opportunity can still be leveraged.

Opportunity to do something different

There is a lot of work,eating at my desk to try finish my work. I enjoyed to be self managed Dealing very old contractors The co-workers are not united,they back stabber If there is an issue raised regarding work they pretend they are ok . The environment is not suitable if 1 has health challenges Having to suspend accounts due to our fault.

Pros: Down sizing of staff every 6 month
Cons: They implement things and not having a room for if it doesn't work what will happen.

Excellent working environment

Great corporate culture from the morning I get in make check my salesforce (crm)between 8/9 AM make calls from 9 till 11 then attend meetings off-site if there are booked between 2/3 PM I set up appointments and follow up with existing clients, from 3/4 it's a feedback session to the Head of Sales

Pros: Great education opportunity

Good learning opportunities

Handle all aspects of HR matters from recruitment and selection to IR issues up to CCMA level. Manage all Leave processes and admin related queries. Good culture, however very little room for growth as most growth opportunities are forfeited when they become available.
