Fun company (just not my department)

I work in the "Accounts Receivable" department of the company, and it has a different set of principles and values. It is less fun and not as challenging. Relationship with colleagues is tainted, because of the rules made by management.

Build on my extensive range of technical skills

It is a pleasure to work at my current company. I have a great relationship with my co-workers. We have a lot of respect for each other and always encourage each other. We also do have our disagreements at times, but we all matured enough to work through it. I've learnt to deal with people from different cultures and beliefs and to respect the individual. I work directly with the financial manager and have very little interaction with the other people on the floor. When I'm really very busy they would all ask why I'm so quiet. I enjoy that I have to work directly with the financial manager because this gives me the opportunity to learn understand his tasks.

i handle all branch finance. handling all the bills e.g rent , electectricity , stationary and etc client queries and working with people became part of my life,i am having a good relationship with them the most challenging thing is working with unreliable people

Compiling briefs for the designer on new marketing collateral and ensuring delivery on deadlines. Ensuring delivery of briefed artwork are sent to suppliers or internal teams By the agreed deadlines. Assisting with social media campaigns i.e upload of new ads, creating new campaigns, social media monitoring and community management Liaising with suppliers. Uploading supplier invoices through internal financial system. Compiling inventory booking forms for internal campaigns and distributing to the relevant stakeholders.

Yes it's great company to work for

There is alot of benefits learning alot Ensure all claims are matched within frame period. All claims must be matched accurately Credit request to reach Phumzile on Wednesday and Fridays by end of business. Follow up on outstanding claims, Evidence – Outcome in a form of a report to be submitted to the Team Leader, Contingency and Development. Ensure that all processes are known and familiar for, when someone goes on leave or falls sick or resign, that the workload can be carried and productivity don't drop. This will also ensure that development of staff will happen and that other positions within the department or company can be pursued. Store Retailer documentation electronically. Store any documentation received from OTD branches. Ensure backups are done and saved on the finance shared drive – Shoprite. Values and culture. Acts with respect, integrity, courage and accountability and helps to build the Media24 Way Uses at least 8 hours' Volunteers24 leave per year

Enjoy working for the company, great benefits

I love working for this company, but I have realise when you work too long for 1 department, you get to know your line manager's behaviour which changes radically when your views and that of your line manager's is not the same and that can put a toll on the relationship, although it does not directly affect you, you can see behaviours change when other staff members are involved. so for me personally if I could do this over again I will just work for 5 years in a department and then move to another dept.

Pros: at the moment there is no opportunity for growth
Cons: working hours is great, but I have to fill in for receptionist when she is not here and work here hours, where as I can leave earlier than usual.

Quick learner, positive attitude, friendly, enjoy working with people

Exciting environment

A typical work day includes all the usual administrative duties expected in any office situation. The big diffrence is in the amount of calls of and the nature of the calls you receive from readers of our newspapers nationwide. It is also the kind of environment that you need to be able to think on your feet, things changes abruptly. There are deadines, deadlines and even more deadlines. The people you work with are usually great people, with very outgoing and creative personalities. You need to understand the pressure your colleagues are under and always try and smooth the day for the as much as possible. Always be one step ahead: make sure the office printers are serviced and working, never run out of stationary or office amenities and always have a plan B, C and even a plan D.

Pros: Working in the print media is very exciting and a very different experience than the usual coroprate office.
Cons: The pressure is really on to combat the effect that the digital era has brought on. You need to bring your A-game all of the time.

Well disciplined and Matured Individual

Great team i work with, work load is manageable. Team leaders and Management are doing great work. Daily we would begin with Correspondence such as emails. Most challenging aspect of the job is to see clients happy with issues resolved.

Pros: Support structure is great with flexible shifts
Cons: Long Hours
