Excellent company for growth

Day consists of 360 degree stakeholder engagement. Market & competitor reviews. Product and pricing strategy reviews. Market is u stable and price sensitive therefore need to be astutely aware of dynamic ever changing environment. Masscash Cash & Carry business has provided me with a window into the FMCG economy within the informal sector. This combined with PnP provided me with a complete experience into FMCG from LSM 1-11.

Amazing opportunity

Working within masscash was challenging as there is slight room for growth. If you obtain a promotion it is within the same department and only as far as a team leader role and even then you have to work yourself to death and constantly be monitored and appraised to see work performance. I know that's what's required in all companies however not all companies are the same. I just think there are better.

Eager to learn new things.

I am a self respective individual whos loving and respect other people. I am a go easy person to work with. I enjoy the new challenges every day of my working life. The challenging aspects of the job is when working with difficult management system.

Excellent expirience.

Store manager, store assessment, logistics, procurement & buying, product compliance, FCPA, OHASA, health & safety, food safety, regular contact with the suppliers. Corporate business very good relationship with the associates. enjoyed dealing with the customers daily. the most challenging job was when sewerage system stopped working. Overall, lot learnt, and gain expirince.

Cons: Long working hours, even on sundays

Very exciting company to work for, and many challenges since it has a combination of retailers stores and wholesalers. It has lots of opportunities for growth, and you'll meet with different people.

Excellent learning curve

*A typical workday include working with Managing Learning Programmes and SETA grant payments. *My co-workers manage training programmes regionally and report progress to me. *I have learned to let go of projects to my co-workers, being patient and coaching them to get the required end results. *Seeing myself change and grow from being an extreme structured individual to being flexible. *Letting go of projects to inexperienced individuals was the most challenging and it that process i learned to trust, manage and share work.

Goo dlearnig curve

There is no flaxibility on working hours. It is on policy but not implemented. my typical work day includes a lot of activities that are more merchandise department based and not brand management based. relationship with coworders is good and I have learnt a lot from working with my coworkers. I enjoy doing the brand management part of my job. most challenging spec is when you have to deal with queries that someone else should be dealing with.

Eager to learn new things.

I believe in mutual trust and respect, equity and fairness treatment to every employees. I also believe that through integrity and honesty all can be achieved. I enjoy a very calm and good relationship within the fellow employees as well as the employer. I like good communication within the people that brings changes and good challenges and motivations. The most challenging aspects of the job environment is when the company lacks the resources to deliver and render smooth services to the clients and customers.

Background and Experience

I am an Administration Manager working for a Massmart store in Port Elizabeth. I am looking for employment in Administration, Finance and Human Resources. I have four years experience in Administration Management. I studied BCom Economics and Business Management. I am a hard worker and an team player and a team leader. My relationship with my subordinates has been a good one all these years. I haven't been perfect but I have learnt a lot about leading a group of people. I started in the company as a graduate and I landed on the Admin Manager position through my dedication to work. I get quarterly audits on risk assessments at the beginning it was a challenge for me to pass these but as time went by I managed to pass both internal audits. These have been achieved by doing the right thing at the right time with the right people.

Self motivated,enjoy new challenges

team player with laughter and fun in the office,accountability and responsible ,store visits including Swaziland,Botswana and Gauteng . Regional meeting discussion with store managers and executives,debt collection and tracking of accounts.

Pros: Learnership development with credit Manager - operations ,staff,communication to executives
