Vendors are created by different teams (Warehouse, Express and Superstore) on a weekly schedule for the Distribution Centre, as part of the segregation of duty controls Weekly petty cash cleanings are done for more than 110 stores nationwide, separated by regions for each individual Daily GL analyses are done to ensure allocation of costs are corrected for accurate decision making Sundry tasks such as the calculation of projected PBT are given to individuals at the Financial Exec's discretion Month end preparation which includes the running of automatic accruals and manual accruals Quarterly, Monthly and yearly audit preps are done whether for quality control purposes or financial presentation purposes

Good environment to learn and grow within the marketing industry.
In this volatile retail market, it is hard to keep and grow our market share. The retail environment has taken a knock in the last few years. Builders currently has the biggest market share amongst its competitors and with international competitors threatening to take a market share, we are forced to be use strategic tactics that will support the business accordingly.
Pros: Great brand endorsed by Walmart.
Cons: Growth restriction. Limited positions available in the team.

Started a Master data Project
I have a B-tech in Information Technology and have 6 - 7 years working in the IT industry. I have worked with a number of programming languages and Software SAP-ERP,SAP-EWM,SAP-FnR, SQL, Information Steward, Data Services,ASP.net, Visual Basic, JAVA, SAP-ABAP, Mobile application and SharePoint development Currently I am in Data Governance were we manipulate data across multiple systems, Build Rules and score cards supporting the rules and dashboards which allows one to see trends and predictions I also have System Analyst experience which included software configuration, problem management, incident management and change management. Business analyst where one reviews the work of Business Analysts

Excellent learning curve
Working at massbuild has been a pleasure.It has taught me a lot about team wprk seeing that there are a lot of team building experiences.The only problem is that there is no growth for cashiers. Atleast at my brach there is not.They grow in other department's but not cashiers

Great experience and exposure.
As a space planner one has to build planograms but building one involves a number of things Such as analysing data which is sales of the products, creating the actual product. Looking at the day stock cover. Making sure that though the the day stock cover is met the shelf also looks good visually. Making sure that the products pay for the space they take in terms of space so that would involve the number of facings you would give to that particular product. Than you go seat with the buyer and manager to give them feedback on the thought process you had when building the planogram. If they are happy thay sign it off if not you readjust but you push back as well. You suggest the minimum stock as well that would be required as well. All of this involve out of the box thinking while while using space effeciently. I enjoy interacting with people and have to present my work while learning from them when they give me feedback.
Pros: The people at the company are great to work with. Constantly share information so that you can learn.
Cons: Growth is for a selected few

My skills are not being utilised to their full capacity
Typical day is capturing information on the payroll responding to queries and dealing with the stores.. My co-wokers and I work well together and help each other out whenever one is under pressure and keep each other motivated to complete tasks and relieve the stress I have more interaction with SARS and more involved with enforcing policies I enjoy reporting. Don't really get a lot of chances to work with them but when I do, I enjoy it. Trying to get managers to adhere to policies and payroll requirements
