Good experience

I have lot of experience in production, research and Development and also in the laboratory that is ISO 17025 accredited. We have worked in wet Chemistry analysis, QTA, Spec-Lab and also acted as a supervisor. A typical working day is dealing with customers that are looking for samples results, urgently due to production pressur, were the team is able to prioritize customer urgent need. I have learn that communication with coworkers and customers make things easier to understand daily targets. I enjoyed troubleshooting within my department, resolving problems we encountered with analytical instruments. Most challenging a was long shifts, particularly afternoons shifts as one is expected to finish all the work before knock off which leads to a knock off time of midnight.

Pros: Good to work in the company because I have learned what it means about production target, the state of the business
Cons: Long working hours which lead to fatigue

Maintanance boilermaker running two sections namely MF2 &TAILINGS .

Got good working relation with all personnel including both engineering,proccess and production and keep communication levels intact to avoid breakdowns,downtime and equipment damage.

Pros: Signed permanent by lonmin
Cons: Overtimes come usually on a regular basis and planed maintances on sartadays.

Execellent Learning curve

My role as PA to the CEO and EVP was to plan their dairies and ensure all logistics were in place and that their needs were catered for in ALL aspects, i.e. pick up children from school, impromptu meetings with, unions, etc. I was also accountable for general administrative duties, which included capturing of data and information, typing, report writing, sorting and filing. I managed their incoming and outgoing mails as well as administrative procurement activities. I was accountable for good housekeeping, i.e. coordination of office cleaning activities and staff. Received clients when stakeholders were not available and ensured that client’s messages were relayed to the relevant stakeholders timeously. Investor relations, included handling queries/requests, scheduling meetings, liaising with different departments, and scheduling all travel arrangements. I have excellent interpersonal skills and have an aptitude to communicate with people.

I am a hard woker and also a fast leaner. I did hot commission and cold commissioning,loop checks. installed the instruments at and carlibrating them. termination of the panels on the mcc and junction boxes.

Largest platinum mine. Not a great place to work. Due to the distance to travel to work and back. The potential take over by Sibanye is nerve wrecking.

Excellent company to have worked for

Good people learned a lot and gain a lot of experience on various types of work. Worked in a team environment . If there were breakdowns we attend it together to minimize down time and to let production go again
