Working experience

I have extensive experience at senior management level with strong strategic and dynamic leadership skills in corporate industry. I worked within the Construction Industry, Eskom Distribution, Gautrain, Transnet Projects and Consultants acquiring experience that enabled me to render professional and managerial services as a Contracts Manager, CEO, Quantity Surveyor, and Contracts administrator for the past fourteen (14) years.

Pros: Working as a team and managing multiple projects at the time.

Instilling a flexible, managerial, respectful and healthy work space

Eskom treats it's employees with respect and instills a healthy work space by providing clear policies, procedures and benefits. It enforces a culture of integrity, humility and trust underpinned by performance indicators and without micro-managing its workers thus allowing employees the flexibility to manage their own time and deliverables. It believes in building it's capabilities through on-job training and investing in it's staffs' learning/training and development by funding and initiating knowledge platforms thus enabling all sectors of the business.

Cons: Low reward system; high staff numbers; extremely comfortable work culture; reduced opportunities to grow; red-tape; bureacracy; politically driven parastatal

Technical Sounded

Working in Eskom is really an opportunity of a life time. A typical work day includes various task mechanical ,electrical and admin. Start of with a meeting then work on site or in office. I have a great relationship with my co workers as i am in a leadership role and run my own team. I have learnt alot leadership, upwards as well as downwards communication. I love being in the technical field and enjoy it most. Projects that is on time always.

Growth within the company

Eskom is a very good and productive company. As an individual you learn a lot and growth is also there. Teamwork does work for us in the company challenges are there on daily basis in the R field where i deal with different issue daily Site visits

Good expirence gained

Its a good company to work for opportunities are there but i do not think the money is worth the work that is being executed i believe i deserve more much more

Good day  I have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Btech Quality Degree. Currently I'm looking for an opportunity. I recently graduated in btech quality. I'm working for eskom as electrical Technician under meeting. Doing maintenance.  The reason I'm sending the CV to you I want change and growth career wise. My experience in an electrical power utility

It has been a pleasure more than not to work for Eskom. I have been exposed to a lot of Engineering and technical experience. I have grown professionally and personally.

High time to grow and tackle new challenges

I am highly deadline driven environment, where decisions have to made. I have passion in people development which has made my team one excellent team to work with. I really love to see people prospering or getting satisfaction at what they do. My job is highly dependent on other business process partners where you constantly have to engage and ensure everyone is on board and is able to fulfill the mandate. can be challenging at times if people aren't so clear of their role and urgency thereof.

Cons: can be monotonous, have to look for continously look for improvement opportunities
