EOH promotes team work,offer training when needed,I enjoy their training sessions they help a lot in self evaluation.i dont think their criteria to promote or movement of staff to other department is in line.most qulaified peope are working at wrong department with no chance of moving

Best experience gained

As a employee at EOH I learn a lot not only by working at the Sasol service desk but by engaging with employees using different accounts. we can liaise and share experiences,working with Co- workers I have gained a good amount of experience based on employee methods. We have training on a monthly basis with Quality assurance to make sure that we still render a good service as well as our areas of improvement this is also the most enjoyable part as we can raise concerns discuss to better our skills. The most challenging aspect about my job is to make sure that the client is happy with the service at all times,making sure that you do your best on each and every call no matter how difficult it might be which wont be always easy when dealing with difficult clients. Despite the challenges it is a learning curve and I am always ready to learn more to gain more knowledge.

Pros: Good communication among co- workers and managers.
Cons: Working long hours with not much acknowledgement.

I have an ability to identify, develop, apply innovative practices in areas of responsibility and dedicated with my work. I can provide an efficient level of consulting and technical support services from the initial system set-up, involving the evaluation of system requirements, System Administrator and the recommendation of solutions to support the on-going management and maintenance of the IT environment at clients’ sites. I am able to immerse all of me into the job at hand and excel tremendously at it. I can use my already acquired skills to learn even more and create new ways of getting projects complete with satisfaction that exceeds expectation. Having this positive and driven attitude has been of great assistance in striving for altitude and it will not be something I let go of any time soon.

Pros: I am solution focused; team oriented and have a broad understanding of computer hardware and software, including installing, configuration, management and support.

Great learn curve

I drive from site to site troubleshooting on computer issues relatively at Sassa office. I'm a team worker an out going team player. I enjoy solving computer problem, network and errors in applications. Most challenging aspect is the two hour SLA I'm given to complete a job. I have to drive to site and close the call in two hours.

Pros: I learn more every time I at site.

I have been in the IT industry for over 14 years and. I am a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) Enterprise Administrator since 2008 and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) since 2009. And I hold the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifications on All Windows OS platforms. I also hold the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCITP) and Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I) certifications. I pride myself on role as a trusted advisor and I’m ability to explain things to both technical and non-technical people in a way that makes them feel more secure and better understand their IT environment. I have taken an active role in training and mentoring employees and management. I’m ability to work to predefined and agreed upon goals and targets with limited supervision

Excellent working skills

My name is Andiswa Gwayi i did IT at Walter sisulu university. I want to gain more experience and more skills.I also did internship at EOH Mthombo in Capetown last 2017 to 2018. I first started doing training for 3 months in claremont by EOH Mthombo then placed to a company which is EOH Big Data Lab in Stellenbosch by EOH Mthombo for 7 months. It was the period of 10 months from june 2017 to may 2018. I have these skills Linux Ubuntu,GIT,Dev Ops,Apache and Nginx web services and Docker file.

Pros: Great opportunity to gain skills and experience.
Cons: Long working hours

Enjoy working for EOH

As as support Engineer I respond to client calls. Making sure that I comply with Service Level Agreement. I report to my operational manager. Its interesting to be part of diverse team. I have learnt that team work saves lot of time. I enjoy client service, keeping clients happy to have their call being resolved in timely manner. The is much room to learn.

Pros: I find my work not stressing, enjoy what I am doing
Cons: Small chances of being promoted

My Experience

Possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, Service delivery and outcomes driven, possess a high level of energy and enthusiasm and delivery oriented. Troubleshooting of the LAN, WAN and Vsat environments,Installations (Configurations) and cabling of routers and switches, Working with Network Monitoring tools (Cisco works, Spectrum, PRTG, IRIS, Marvel and eHealth),Logging and monitoring calls/tickets with the service provider as per the SLA,Tracking the calls/tickets making sure that they are resolved within the required time frame (As per SLA)Liaising between the client and the services provider. Working with Protocols (Such as RIP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, )Wireless Network monitoring and also working on Fortigate platforms (Next Generation Fortigate]

Im a fast learner with excellent concentration

I'm a single mother of two who would work anywhere the company wants me to make sure that my kids have a brighter future then me, i always say to myself hard work pays and being humble to others increases the chances of being recognized, all that i have is all that you need for the company, the looks the time i talk the talk i walk the walk i always have a smile on my face because i know that a happy and smiling administrator makes clients, customers keep coming back and the more they come back the more the company makes money I Thank You Regards Nokuthula
