Leraning curve

My company deals with tolling,I work an 8 hours shift (7am-4pm). I work closely with the Area Managers for the Customer Service Centers. We have 35 Customer service Centers around Gauteng. I have a good working relationships with my colleagues and with other Departments within the business.I most enjoy answering calls and transferring them to the relevant departments within the business and helping my colleagues where possible to help the business grow.I also do payroll for the Customer Service Centers employees and helping the Area managers with their monthly travel claims and sending all that info to the Payroll Department. The most challenging aspects of the job is when my colleague that i work closely with is absent from work because that means double work for me on that specific day when she is not around especially if its month end because that's the most busiest time in our department.

Pros: Comfortable working enviroment
Cons: Less chances of groth

Hard work and willing to learn..

Register customer account and capture data as accurately as possible.. I work very well with my colleagues, we support each other.. I have gained a lot of experience and learned how to deal with customers in a professional manner. I enjoy meeting different people and networking. Most challenging is when the system is sometimes slow and working shifts knocking off late at night.

Pros: It has given me extensive experience
Cons: I work shifts and weekend so I get to spend time with my family.

Learning Curve

I work for the largest project in Gauteng, GORT(Gauteng open road toll), typical day is largely cost analysis, and enabling the project to be profitable, reporting results to the shareholders of the company, I have had the opportunity to be seconded to Vienna, Austria so as to receive international training, I have learnt vastly from my local and international colleagues. Most challenging aspect is the rigid deadlines in terms of budgets and forecasts, where we need to work long hours, and allowing stakeholders to understand cost cutting, in order for the organization to be profitable.

Pros: Opportunity to travel to Europe, to learn from the international colleagues.
Cons: Long hours
