Good learning experience
My typical work day: - Doing research, typing reports, submitting risk assessments and attending meetings My relationship with co-workers: - I have fortunate to have an opportunity to work with such a supportive team. A team willing to guide and mentor a young person such as myself. Our relationship have gone beyond a professional with some of them, we are now like family. The things I've learnt: - I've microsoft office skills, how to write minutes in a meeting, compiling reports and doing a business investigation through risk assessments, questioning and challenging business practices. What I enjoyed the most: - I enjoyed being exposed to different teams within discovery which gave me a good experience about most Discovery's businesses. I also liked the experience of learning a new thing everyday. Challenging aspects: - Most challenging is, having limited time to learn everything. Which resulted in me putting more working hours.
Pros: Limited as I had no working experience.
Cons: Meeting deadlines within the short period.

Innovation and determination to succeed
A typical day at work includes sourcing new client's, analyzing client's financial portfolio's so that we are able to provide client's with access to unique products which present an opportunity to create wealth, protect their family's financial stability. This kind of job requires that you develop very codependent relationships with your colleges as we are completely reliant on one another to provide our client's with the best possible solutions. As a result we are a very close team. I most enjoy the outbound aspect of my job. This is meeting with my client's and discussing how our products provide solutions to their financial short falls. Most challenging aspects of the job is administration. Paperwork in my industry as a result of compliance is relentless and requires some discipline.

Working most of the time with new recruits
Discovery has taught me to be more responsible in terms of my work, to always strive for excellence and always exceed customers. The organization prides itself in Excellent service delivery to customers. A typical day at work would include reconciling accounts and maintaining relations with internal and external clients(brokers). My co-workers are the best, Discovery always hires great people however I feel that Management is more customer oriented and thus tend to ignore employees. I feel that they could do a lot better in terms of salaries/benefits.
Pros: Transfering calls meeting people Giving people Information that they want to know about Discovery. I enjoyed the environment very much I got to learn alot of things in the company.

Excellent learning curve
My company is a well known and large company, work space is excellent as it allows you freedom as works. Discovery gives you the opportunity to grow and develop oneself. Discovery relatively young spirited as its very innovative in its way of thing, enhancing and developing itself. Working for Discovery has given the opportunity to develop myself, as I am a great communicator, excellent telephone skills, typing and willing to grow oneself.

Excellent Learning Curve
Working at Discovery has always been a pleasure as I enjoyed my occupation and the field I ventured into. A typical working day would be very tiring and stressful however I always saw success as I worked smart and consistent. I am a people's person and feel that team building is the best way to success in a company. I have learnt that hard work, determination, a good attitude and respect you can achiever anything. I enjoy the different avenues to grow as well as the hard work and dedication it takes. I enjoy the benefits of fellow employees who are always willing to lend a helping hand. The most challenging part of my job was watching other's give up when in pressure. However I always have been a good mentor in helping people with different personalities and characteristics move pass every obstacle.

Excellent learning curve

No growth in my department
What I have learnt that Customer communication are of utmost important, also, companies can also be at fault at times. I have also learnt that a good communication is highly important.
