Excellent learning Curve

Assisting End user's with new user account creation on their machines, joining machines to the domain. Running Microsoft updates on new and old machines. Troubleshooting all issues with all machines both windows and apple osx. Configuring VPN on machines, remote to all machines. Assigned calls to assist user's with different issues. Updating machines from windows 7 to windows 10 . Assigning printers,share drives and configuring outlook profiles. Installation of different software such as Citrix,SAP, Clarity, office 365, MCAFEE etc. Configuring mobile devices to receive emails, wifi connection configuring guest machines to join the companies wifi for visitors. Setting up of boardroom meetings, moving user's to different offices and setting up their machines. Backing up of user data and setting up new user profiles and re-copying back the data. Learning different ways of troubleshooting different Microsoft software and others.

As energetic and fast learner

Learning curve

Learning curve. Working at Bytes has taught me alot of things about myself and about people in general. Although I got into the company under false advertisement I actually enjoyed most of my time there before I left. I learnt that I have a great deal of patience with clients and that clients will say anything to get their way especially when there is money involved. Being a retentions agent means you have to have patience and understanding. You need to understand what customers want and need. You need to be empathetic at times and also firm. Bytes has taught me all of that. They offer great support when it comes to customers. I had a fantastic team leader and she always guided us at all times. I would have loved to stay at Bytes but the commission structure was constantly being amended and made that difficult for us to reach targets. It was hard especially because we got promised R5500 for basic salary but only received R4500. I had to move to a better offer

Better learning curve

A highly experienced and competent Systems Support Engineer with experience in a variety of Microsoft Server and Desktop environments. A level head and rational approach to problem solving leads to reliability and fast solutions to Server technical issues. Ability to explain procedures in a practical and user friendly way means that many IT problems can be solved via the telephone and email.

Hard Rock start.

At bytes we very hard but the salary does not worth our living. Even though we strive to get those incentives, they have terms and conditions which agents can comply with... So inflection it's so high which we can maintain our cost of living because of our small salaries.

Pros: A way of gaining call Centre exposure.
Cons: Different starting hours on weekly schedule, which really paralyzes agents...

Great platform to start once IT career.

The environment here is a fast paced environment. Your work under pressure and you still need to give accurate results. Attention to detail is vital, you need to think on your feet. You need to manage your yourself especially time because we work on strict SLA. Team work is vital. Working together you can achieve more and communication between team members is crucial, that way we can help each other out in case on of us is not at work - we can be able to take over calls assigned to you and we won't breach SLA as a team. I have learned to think on my feet and self discipline. I have realized I work better under pressure and being able to make choices and being able to take ownership of my calls or duties as a team member. The most challenging part of this is time. We work under strict SLA and feedback need to be given to the client.

Pros: Great platform for growth and development
Cons: We need to still be here even wjen the client is not here, just incase some emegency arises.
