It is a fairly good company but it is way less than how people percieve it.

I can fairly say that I am currently enjoying working for Bidvest Bank because of what I learn everyday and how I am growing in terms of character, personality and in my acquiring knowledge. The people are very well informed and helpful. The atmosphere is good and we are sent on trainings which enables us to perform excellent in doing our job. The reason why I want to leave is that the growth is very limited in terms of salary and I don't think it is market related.

Pros: Knowledge, Training, growth in terms of work.
Cons: Hours and ok

Excellent training

I have learnt how deal with and communicate with different personality. Also understanding the what they want. I was dealing with forex that foreign currency processing international payment and receiving international payment

Pros: unfair treatment
Cons: work normal hours but lot of work to do in short period of time

I have learned a lot about myself and other people's culture

I dedicate my all to the work I do. I learn very quickly and work well with a team. I can manage a team with much work put on better management of finances and resources to improve productivity.

Pros: I love what I do and dedicate my time to it right
Cons: I had an accident 5 years ago and it left me with a limp

Excellent Learning Skills

I have learnt alot at Bidvest Bank, accurate capturing and excellent customer services.Worked in small groups. Most difficult task was that every year or 2 there wad always new supervisor appoints when the staff just got the hang of tbe previous supervisors ways and work then the staff had to adjust to the supervisors ways of working.

Cons: No growth and very long hours

Fast learner

At the corporate Branch we have a thriving day, new challenges awaits. The Corporates always keeps you on your toes. It is great working with the Bidvest Team. There is excellent team work and stand together with assistance. I have acknowledged great things. Currencies that I did not know exist. Meeting People from all over the globe. Interesting facts of countries, currencies , companies and banks. the most challenging aspects of the job is to be precise with currencies and wire transfers, it contains large values.

Pros: Learning something new.
Cons: If one person do not comply, all are effected.

Office Manager - Building, Maintenance and Safety

Very busy day, never time for messing about. Deadlines to work towards. Continuous interruptions from Internal Clients and telephone calls. Multi-tasking on a daily basis. Project Management and challenges on a daily basis. Analytical tasks great. On the spot breakdowns i.e. water leaks, minor injuries on duty Event management i.e. Christmas Parties, Wellness days,

Pros: Wonderful people and good working environment
Cons: Traffic to work and back

Excellent in customer service

I'm reliable, hard worker, enthusiastic, energetic, ambitious, don't get easily discouraged, don't give up easily, always committed, self motivated, goal driven works well in a team and well organized. I am willing to learn and work hard. I am honest, dependable, and should I be fortunate to obtain a position, you may be assured of my loyal and dedicated service.

Good Experience Gathering Environment

In the position I am in I meet a lot of different people from different walks of life. This teaches me in dealing differently with different types of individuals. I do a lot of product solutions and this helps in problem solving and coming up with solutions sort of tailored for that individuals needs. I also have a lot of admin so I get to learn different types of document requirements for various banking solutions.

Pros: Kept informed in the financial industry field

Great growth

Start-up type environment so great opportunity for growth. Unpretentious, free breakfast. Little to no budget for projects, and also very few creature comforts so people coming from established companies will struggle, but if you keep the focus, you will grow your career tremendously. Disclaimer: Diversity acceptance is a bit of a challenge here though

Pros: You will uncover strengths you never knew you had
Cons: Not established like other banks so the disorder could become discouraging and makes the environemt highly political
