Overview:- I am a highly experienced Logistics operations planner/controller currently working for Barloworld Logistics’ SCM division - Barloworld Equipment Account. My main responsibility is to manage and monitor the distribution of Caterpillar machine parts and components to various destinations in SA and African territories. I have a very successful track record in this field and I have also held various positions within the supply chain industry

operational-administration,receiving of stock,dispatch stock,inventory process and invoicing.every end of each day give feedback on the work done to superior and thread every employee with respect.i also learnt how to deal with issues,more as specially work related.i take every challenge as it comes and learn from it.

Barloworld Logistics managed the Unilever Transport network since 2007 and in 2014 Unilever took the transport in-house. Unilever at that point employed all the staff members excluding me because I was involved in the transition.During this transition Unilever employed another candidate in this position. I moved from Barloworld Logistics to Unilever on the section 197 at the end of 2014 and occupied a projects role and was retrenched in September 2015. I enjoyed working in a dynamic FMCG environment where one is confronted by new challenges daily. The ability to resolve these challenges and effectively meeting the delivery deadlines was a daily experience. I was on call 24/7 having to field calls and assist the execution team on shift to ensure that customer deliveries were compromised. for the client.

My review below
I enjoy Project Management, its not just a job for me but it is a way of living for me as I am a very organised and time driven person in general. My typical day consist of setting up and chairing meetings with different work streams, updating of project status reports or dashboards and distributing of such. Its constant communication with different stakeholders. Updating of my project plan monitoring and managing risks. Writing of management consolidated reports for stakeholders and management / Business. I have very good communication skills and I make it my personal duty to get to know all my stakeholders and building relationships. I am well respected and I always respect everyone. I have build trusts and relationships and should conflict arise on my project I know it can be resolved at the beginning stages. We deal with different personalities on projects and therefore it is important to try and identify each personality very early.
Pros: In Project Management there is always room to grow.
Cons: The long hours and travelling can be tiring on projects

Excellent people skills and statistical data analysis
- Team work is extremely visible and important to the department -I was once given an employee of the month trophy because the team felt i contributed more than expected to the team objectives -Relationship with co-workers is GREAT!! we have an open door policy and i always feel like my opinion is heard and taken seriously. We joke around which creates a great working environment -i enjoy training sessions. we gave lean training sessions to the business employees from different accounts ( nike, toyota,PPC etc) where Barloworld is contracted to provide logistics services. - i thoroughly enjoy data analysis part of my job - The most challenging aspect of my job is getting buy-in from management. - Another challenge is presenting data in a simplified way that management can understand

Career Growth
Im very much a team player & believe the people you surround with & work with builds the success. A typical day is that I'm an early 6h30 ish starter to get all the admin & planning out the way, during the course of the day is a mixture of client visits, networking, internal project/sales/strategy meetings. Proud to say my relationship with co-workers is extremely strong, which I believe everyone forms a link in the chain to assist the business in obtaining its strategy.What I have learnt?, Im still learning and will continuously learn from customers & co-workers, the important thing is that you take this & turn it into opportunities. What I enjoy the most is achievement, this doesn't only happen in the work place but also in sports & family life. Achievement brings satisfaction, if you have achieved something in a day, a week or what ever, its very gratifying, self rewarding & motivating.The most challenging aspects of my job is meetings to have meetings. Very unproductive & not motivating at all.

Excellent learning curve
I am DRS Team Leader my duties -is to report received continers perday -do stock counting every day -lead a team by giving them daily task -reporting of despatched trucks I enjoy counting the stock every day the challenging part of my job is when the customer reject the orders because i have to explain to my superiours that why the customer reject the order
