My experience at Mittal is managing to produce what is required from me and my team mates 8Hours work during the week and 12 hours on Wednesday/Friday Saturday and Sunday is what sharpened me to be able to work under pressure My fellow Employees and I worked in a nice way to such an extend that we have routines of how we execute daily tasks and a monthly plan amongst ourself What I enjoyed most is having the relationship with the management coworkers as well as the customers who came in daily and end up knowing our working style and treatment towards them, which made them feel welcome The greatest challenge is to be able to dispatch 30-40 trucks of Metal Sheet Plates to the customers per 12Hours shift And the other challenge is to knock off at 22:00 on Thursday night and be able to go to work again on Friday morning 05:30

Excellent learning curve
Teamwork is excellent. Company values are great and safety has a high profile and need in the company. Systems within company and departments are solid and records of history are easy accessable and easy to understand. I learned a lot when it comes to audits and tye value of it in a company. The wold class manufacturing of the company is growing fast and higher levels within reach. Maintenance team is competent and troubleshooting and pro active attitude of the staff make teams highly efficient.
Pros: Salaries can be more market related
Cons: Shutdowns are usually long hours if work

Excellent learning curve
Good company for skill development, zero tolerance for unsafe behavior. Also good in diversity and no racial discrimination. Fair job security. Low performance insentives.

I was the safety representative of my shift
Arcelor Mittal is a very big company .The environment is very hostile and full of dust and other chemicals, but if you put o the correct PPE no injuries or harm will come your way.We work for eight hours a day and sometimes twelve hours if we are doing over time.Communication is very important to make sure we work as a team to produce good quality steel.I was the she rep of my shift so as to make sure everyone worked safe.I enjoy it when we as a shift managed to do our daily target for the day.when there is machine failure, the whole plant comes to a stop.Then we fall behind our monthly target.
Pros: there are many fields within the company
Cons: the company is very strict about safety rulkes

I have really learned a lot from arcelor mittal will to learn more again cause we learn everyday i m a hard working person that can work under any conditions or circumstances

Preventive maintenance on machines, schedule, and safety: fault finding, PLC, electrical and mechanical quality and performance of machines. Preventive maintenance on the line, including breakdowns. Knowledge of electronics as applied to the control of heavy electrically driven equipment. Diagnoses equipment malfunctioning using appropriate test instrument and circuit diagram Responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation work. Fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment. Inspect and examine machine to detect a malfunctioning parts.

Good for learning big company processes
Working at Mittal has allowed me the opportunity to learn how larger companies operate and how every individual is an integral part of a company’s structures regardless of the company’s size. I have also learned how to work well in teams and group dynamics are influential in increasing a teams productivity

Excellent learning curve
Typical day starts with a DRM meeting, planning daily tasks etc. Then decent inspections of my responsible areas. Repairing of any defects. Doing maintenance/servicing of equipment. Handling production related breakdowns. Further more looking for improvement ideas. Doing multiple logbooks. Keeping a firm eye out for hazards and safety concerns. I am the sections first aider and fire fighter as well. Good communicator with fellow employees.
