When I was at Arcelor Mittal, I was still an apprentice, that's why I earned that much. Those whom are permanent earn a very good salary. I'm hoping that one day I will be able to earn like those artisan. But to me money is not a big issue

Excellent training available

RPlan and execute tasks with my team members.Excellent communication skills and attitude towards my subordinates.Learnt to deal with different types of people,. change their current maintenance philosophy from run to failure to professional maintenance Best part of the job is to keep motivating myself and my subordinates to be the best at what we do during our maintenance tasks. Most challenging part is to get management to rethink the

Was truly an excellent learning opportunity but I want to develop further

I I enjoyed it the job is good the hours are a bit too long 12hrs a day but the perks are very good but we need more staff to assist with jobs and better technical support

Learning different types of jobs

We do inspections in the morning and attend to all faults. My co-workers we brothers keepers, we look out for each other. I learned that as a fitter you need to learn other trades as they go hand in hand. Doing a job once it brings joy to my heart. When the team not working as a team to solve a crisis, it challenges me a lot. crisis in the plant

Great experience

I am phakedi seruoe a qualified tool jig and die maker by trade, and i am currently working at nampak bevcan springs as a shift toolmaker so m looking for new opportunities to explore my abilities and experience as well as learning more. I enjoy working

The company is now facing big challenge and it does not have money so the option is to the salary of the workers and retrenchmentso that is the big problem that we are facing and the lifestyle is expensive we can't just agree to our salary cut because we are struggling

No opportunities

Shifts are harmful to the body and you don't rest enough, gas we using is damaging our lungs and if you are on contract like myself you have no medical Aid no opportunities and the reminder of permanent employees that you are a contractor annoys period.
