Great working environment
I am a microbiologist at Adcock Ingram Wadeville a very friendly environment that makes learning to be so easy and fun. What I love the most about my work is being on the floor of the production plant, sampling and testing to ensure that production takes place in a clean environment. Microbiology is about small organisms, proving to us that small things matter too and what I have learnt from here is to pay attention, to the little details as well because they might have a big impact. I have learnt how important following instructions accurately is and that most of the Microbiology function are intelinked; slip uo from that intial point has a huge impact in the final results. I work very well in teams and independently, I enjoy being with my colleagues so much. There is team work there and since our job is such an everyday we challenge each other with Microbiology theory and try to come.up with Microbiology scenarios that need solving/solutions.
Pros: Microbiology is growing in most industries
Cons: Routine, not much promotional (growth) levels

Excellent learning curve
Adcock Ingram is one the biggest pharmaceutical companies in South Africa,My relationship with my co workers was extremely good we were like family,ive learnt many things like being stock controller for 4 years and being part Inventory team that was amazing and i enjoyed every moment of unfortunately i had to move on with life i cant work for company where there is no bonus or incentive i felt like they dont appreciate us while we are the one who make sure that their warehouse is in order.

Gaining experience
The job was meant as exposure for pharmacology students to the regulatory field. I worked with a pharmacist in preparing dossiers for submission to the MCC. Alot of admin work. Taking tours of manufacturing sites and assessing different quality control method. Dissolution tests and storage conditions maintenance

studies for the Processing, Plating and Final Products processes. Key drivers in developing production run rates for key processing in Slitting, Rolling and Coining Departments. Development of Packing Specifications on 40 packing materials used in the SA Mint packing process. Documentation and recording of OEE% performance of various processes.
