Under payment and not considering qualifications , promotion takes a long time ,working long hours,meet ddiffent people, learn new things,meet challenges daily

Hard worker and perform post to the best of my knowledge

A typical work day at SAPS is great due to the fact that I am continuously busy. I always help co workers if they need assistance and we all had a great working relationship. I have gained a huge amount of knowledge in SCM. I most enjoyed my work ad there is no challenging aspect to the job. I would therefore be a great asset to your company.

Be alert, investigation, arrest and convictions

It is stressful , challenging, manageable. It is a big area, lots of work educational better than rural areas. Team work, perseverance is very crucial at this policing area. Willing to work overtime anytime required even when the organization does not have overtime remuneration, and get a rest day. I get excited when a client/ complainant is satisfied with my service and thank me verbally.

Investigating officer

im an investigating officer in the police service and i investigate cases and prepare cases to court and attend to court proceedings and give evidence in court and have been in the police for 10years of which 5years investigating dockets and i have been trained the the saps in various courses in investigation and have diploma in policing and currently studying forensic investigation and auditing in unisa and work well with teams and under pressure

Good learning curve

I worked with public on daily basis. I had a good working relationship with colleagues. I learned that dealing with public you need to be very patient and understand different characters of people.

Excellent learning curve

It's great place to start out because it's not challenging, it's great to learn make mistakes and learn from them, get learn about different characters and how to handle difference in characteristics and cultures, also to learn about managing a large number of employees. I enjoyed mostly the training sessions with my team because helps the management improve communication with both clients and junior members.

Challanging job

Dedication, concetration and extra careful type of job on a daily basis. Salry wise is not good due to high demand of members to be cover large area of crimes,,bt the benefits are good.

Pros: Geate opportunity for promotions automatically after ten years of service.
Cons: High risk type of job
