Excellent development and learning

Planning and design power networks . Good interpersonal skills. Excellent project management skills Learning experience : Develop new solutions to elevate network constraints and accommodate future economic developments. Challenging aspect is to give a solution that is economically viable and sustainable .

Great opportunity

it Was a great experience to work at eskom I learnt a lot,with different task we got each and everyday.unfortunately they didn’t hire us as permanent employees because of the embarko that is affecting the whole company,but in learning it have all the access that you need as a learner to knw about based on safety and your department,it even offer you the short courses like PSR:plant safety regulations but as an internship they don’t allow you to be a responsible person until you are appointed as permanent employee.

Exprerience

At Eskom KZN-OU I am exposed in Electrical network design and construction. Electric network equipment * maintenance * commissioning * and installations of panels Breakers and structures so is updating equipment. I enjoy equipment updates and driving to sites for checking construction progress. It was challenging at first having to instruct older workers but I got used to it.

Pros: If the company has vacancies I am sure I would be absorbed as we , me and my current trainee group are the first preference in the case of vacancies
Cons: Everyday is a learning Day and everyday you have to report

I was the fast learning during the work place.

I am a hart worker during the intercourse of work. I believed in a hart work, I am s person who like to work with other people. Combine the people and enjoying the work. I like to complete my work In time.

Relation's person

Customer queries on bills , application for supply, name changes on invoice, all received by email , telephone Very challenging Hardly do what u planned as some customers come unannounced I am a bteacher and coach always sharing what i learned with colleagues Peoples person, customer relation is my strong point, customer visit to sell or market eskom producct

Learnt a lot as an intern

It is a good company , they gave me a bursary while i was still at varsity and gave me the opportunity to do my practicals and a 18 months internship which ended 31 December 2017 I had a great experience
