I strongly believe in coaching and feedback.

I gained a substantial amount of experience in the courier industry liaising with customers internally and externally. I was given the opportunity to be a leader in various positions and find coaching and feedback very important in our professional and private lives. I thrive on sharing experience with others and believe that sharing knowledge and ideas with colleagues makes the task much more easier.

Pros: Growth is bery important within the company as it exposes me to open up my potential to the max.
Cons: Long working hours is never an issue, as the work neess to get done.

Good Placement

You come in in the morning and you start your day by switching on a free PC. You then load emails and do whatever you are sent. Nothing much else. Work long hours. Come back and repeat till you are off.

Pros: You get to say you worked for DHL.
Cons: You work 10 hrs a day and there is a lot of work that is stressful.

Communication skills is a must

Loading and off loading trucks checking stock working as a team is key....driving LLOP night shift and day shift so sleep is important when working but shift because you need to be aware 24/7 when working in a warehouse day or night

Pros: Prizes you get for hard work (individual)
Cons: 6 5 ain't a joke

Attending PD Sessions Framing Entries Approving Entries over 30000 Clearing shipments while on AIR to meet COA Sending sad500 for shipments above 100000 for confirmation

Pros: there is opportunity to grow but management does not want to let go of us when applying for postions within company
Cons: monday-friday----08h00-17h00 and one weekend in a month

I am a supply chain and logistics specialist with 20 years experience.

At DHL Kimberly Clark I oversee the main SLA nationally and ensure that it is met from the operational deliverables. I am directly running the factory warehouse and the main distribution center in Johannesburg. I also oversee the third party distribution centers in polokwane, nelspruit, durban and ladysmith.

Pros: Chalanges and execution
Cons: Poor planning and bad forecasting

Hi

Well, basically all days we start with a smile on our face's, we use to do jokes about each other before the day start and during the day to make the work space more comfortable, we have the culture off helping each other to grow fast, all mornings we have PD which is a space to talk about what happen in the last day and what will happen today and also to talk about our mode and expectations for the day. All Friday we have a social time on in the office, people dress as they want and we have fun working. I enjoy the most, the way that we deal with work and with each other.

Pros: great place to grow as a professional
Cons: no space for promotion

Love what i do.

Day starts by checking attendance as this will give me an indication on how to utilise my staff efficiently. Jump straight into daily briefing and what call volumes are expected according to the daily bond summary. Check with the staff what went right and what challenges they were faced with. Start the day by closing off previous day issues and into email follow ups. Take what I got from briefing and see how best I can resolve those pending issues. Staffing is an issue at times especially leading up to and coming from Public holidays. These issues are decreasing as time goes by.

Pros: Love working with people and keeping them informed and excited to be at work. Loads of potential growth
Cons: At times long hours and weekends spent closing off certain issues.
