Took the night post for personal means

Night duty,working with one nurse no admin.do plus minus 10 samples per night.share admin work with nurse Love my coworkers.,haven't learnt much as I came qualified with experience. I enjoy the environment. Working at night whilst others are at home sleeping is challenging otherwise all is well.

Excellent learning curve

Ampath is a good company to work yourself up in, you get good on the job training and you can further your studies with bridging coarses. The hours are long and the work is physically demanding, as Histology is not a automated field of discipline. On a normal routine day, one person would cut more that 200 wax blocks, stain and distribute them to the pathologist. There are specialised fields like immunoperoxidase and electronmicroscopy that you can also learn from and gain experience.

Good training

Good company to work for. However there are times where they is alot of work and less staff. Good over time and training opportunities as well as rapid growth.

I have nine years experience working as driver at Ampath. I am a hard worker and a team player. I always take and follow the instructions from my management a friendly person.

Pros: I work 84 hours a week permanent on night shift position. I meet different client, I always smile with my client and make sure I prioritize my work.
Cons: I work 84 Hours a week twelve hours a day night shift duty
