Good learning experience

Nice company to work for. Long hours, work lots of weekends.nice overtime.friendly people.very busy.interesting to work with samples.get a better understanding what happens to the blood after it has been drawn and how it is tested and why the different tubes.

Excellent company to work with

Im a gardworking individual more technical and a great team leader. Worked with the beckman coulter DXC 600, Roche Cobas E411, Vidas, Sysmex 100i and meditech 5.0

Excellent learning and training area.

Quality Assurance and quality control on test methods, equipment, reagents and chemicals. Writing of SOPs and WIs, receiving, updating them and make sure they aknowledged by staff. Health and Safety Which includes investigating injury on duty, correct use and disposal of infectious material and chemical waste and General lab hygiene. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving skills. I enjoy the trouble shooting side of my job. I find working in team challenging. One has to have patience. I train new staff and re- trainning. Do root cause Analysis, as well as corrective/ preventative action.

Gained knowledge and experience

Work hard, accuracy 100% as in medical field cannot afford any mistakes, passionate. Relationship with peers excellent. Learnt that hard work always pays off. I most enjoy the patients and doctors I help and deal with each and every day, making sure there is always a positive outcome even if it was negative to begin with. Most challenging is the accuracy level must be kept up and I get very angry at myself if i make an error, but always ensure it is corrected and all corrective actions are taken and that it doesn't occur again.

Lots of Experience gained

Maintenance of Analysers and Quality control both Internal and external, Handling and processing of Clinical trials, Yearly audit and up keeping and Set up of Standard Operating Procedures

No growth

The staff are over worked and under paid. Good staff are often over looked.. There is a great staff turn over. The hours are bad. The company doesn't always follow labour law.

Pros: Good benefits.
Cons: Staff aren't appreciated

Experience

Working as a lab technician has taught me many things. Working under pressure and working as a team and individualy. You have to work effective and perfect. Notice faults and troubleshoot on it. Working with clients requires lots of patience and friendliness.

New venture

Excellent group of people. High level of professionalism. Highest standards of perfection in the field of pathology. I have learnt their systems quiet fast and am still learning everyday. If not for the graceful and helpful staff that have not ever flinched in their ability to make me feel welcome and teach me every little detail. The challenge is being catching up with the admin that has been lacking due to the fact that there has been no manager in that position however i am very impressed with how the subordinates have taken reaponsibilty for their unit
