Wits Health Consortium Reviews

Great exposure

I do admin on a daily I have a good relationship with my co workers. I have learnt a lot about Operational Requirements Key Roles: • HR consulting to business areas • Recruitment and Selection • Performance Consulting • Disciplinary Advising and Implementation

Pros: 13th cheque at the end of the year
Cons: Not challenging

Great learning experience

The job provides great opportunities for learning and growth. However, the remuneration is low when you compare it to my skills and work experience. The job does not come with benefits such as retirement annuity or a 13th cheque. Only medical aid is provided. There is no career progression that allows me to get a promotion. My typical day involves working with internal staff members and a lot of it with our southern and northern partners. This is a grant funded post which involves handling a budget of over five million rand. I work with a lot of students all over Sub Saharan Africa. I monitor progress and deliverables. The amount of programme work I do is not comparable to the return in my bank account. The programme is coming to an end after five years and I am now in the market for a new and more rewarding job

Pros: Inadequate salary
Cons: No bonus or benefits - no opportunity for promotion
